The older dog is very skinny. He does try and hump the little females. :( Hard to tell in the picture, but one of the females is very red and the other a blond. Yes, they are very sweet dogs. Male goes on a leash, but will pull. He sits and shakes. The pups are spoken for, if we do not find the owner. A lady my daughter works with, says her brother would take the older male.

My SIL is home, so we will take the male down to the vet's to see if he is chipped. We will wait a few days and see if an ad comes out in the paper. If not, we will place them.

Hmmm, I guess it's just each breeder's preference then. I had them removed on my show English Setter, for the very reason you stated.

The things that dogs eat... The other day one of the people at the barn was trimming her horse's chestnuts and the barn lab, Mickey was was scarfing them up as soon as they hit the ground. I'll bet that he likes hoof trimmings too.

Did you place a found ad, or do you think that it's too risky?

LOL!! My CATS will even eat those. I don't know what the deal is with that. I was peeling them off the other day when the horses were just standing around loose and I had to stop because I was afraid that the cats were going to get stepped on trying to eat the pieces as they hit the ground. Yuck!

Well, good luck... if not in finding them homes, then in placing them... it sounds like you've got that handled if it comes to that.

I never new that cats liked them! Bizzare! I have barn cat muddy footprints ALL OVER my car again! They're all over the hood, and there's a neat little track of them as the cat went up my windshield, over my roof and then slid down my rear window.

I wouldn't know what a car without cat-prints on it looked like. ;o)

I thought those were custom racing stripes that came with the car . . .

A great big thank you :)

Bob just talked to Tyler (I thought his name was Bryan). He said locking the kid up in a smaller area was exactly the right thing to do. To give him a week and he'll stop by and see him when he's out our way doing farm calls.

Awww! Cute! Don't get me wrong, I love cats! This particular cat is a goof... he'll get right into the car if you let him.

WEll good:), I'm so glad someone else is saying to do that too:) People so seldom do what others say to do, that I didn't expect you to react so quickly on what I suggested:)....LOL...when you did that it worried me:) Worries me when people don't do what I think they should, and now I see i worry when they do:).

Well, I rode Harley, and kept it at 25 minutes. We worked in the arena, just mostly walking around, but I did do some one rein neck flexing, some backing, and some whoa's...

He felt fine in the way he moved, so now I'll see how he is tomorrow. I do think he is sore (even before I started) still in his left shoulder, but it's not bad.

Becky

LOL - well your advice wouldn't have hurt him at all so no need to worry.

Hope Harley gets fit soon but giving him some time sounds like a good idea.

He can't! I'm already living with six, and they'll mutiny if another one comes home.
