I am really low on sick time (with the fibro) and need Thursday off as family sick but I may call in anyway. Worst that will happen is that they will roll it over to my vacation time or comp time.

Just wait :) She's overdue based on an average pregnancy of 342 days. That would have been the 21st. Some mares go a good bit longer than that, some shorter. Each mare's pregnancy stays about the same, one foal to the next but with a first foal there isn't a record to go by.

I'm making it. Doing some tweaking. This time I have had day and evening classes. It's too much. I'm going to start rotating. Evening classes the first 6 mo. Day classes the 2nd. I'm learning power point too. I prefer to use easle pads but if I can get lesson plans on DVDs it will save a lot of prep time.

That would be a great idea. Then you can reach people who are limited as to when they can attend class, day or night. Can you order lesson plans or will you develope them and then burn DVD's?

No more horses sold but the sold ones are requiring less support so that's a plus. Bob's second puppy ws born Feb. 7th and will ship in April I think. Oh, son tested first in his first block test at the academy.

I have a state curriculum outline I follow but I do my own. Well, I'm yawning. I'm going to try to catch a couple of more hours of sleep. Take care of yourself.

Good Morning.

Great pictures, Frog and Hair!

Duchess, keep safe in that snow storm. It looks like a bad one.

Light snow here.

Bodie and Biscuit were introduced to each other unintentionally yesterday. Biscuit's stall has an dutch door that leads to the paddock and somehow she broke the latch and got out with Bodie. They were doing ok together. The way they go at each other in the barn, I would have never thought they would be get along. Having to rotate horses can be a real pain, when it comes to letting them outside. Now, we will have to see how he does with Jody.

Good morning.

MT: that's great that the horses are going to get along. Makes life so much easier:)

I was out working in the garden so was there to notice that Harley was playing today. I ran and got the camera, and got a few good pictures. It's hard to get them when the scene changes so quick.

?

I think this one he was looking back at me to see if I had gotten enough:)

Heh... and the dog in the last picture waiting to see if there's gonna be any more action. :~)

Well, I'd say it seems he was feeling terrific, was he moving good?

Heh.... oooops! But good deal that they got along! Maybe the barrier between them in the barn was what made them act tougher than they really are!

I was surprised when I saw the pictures because you can't tell....but he was at a dead run coming thru those trees. I mean flying. Weaving in and out of the trees, turning...he had to have felt good, and the one of him in the pen with his tail up, he was prancing, stepping high...I didn't see any stiffness.

I am going to ride today, but right now I'm fighting some extreme frustration/irritability:)

Remember Julia, and that she got the new horse, but hadn't got to ride because of the bad weather. Well I called her last week to see if she wanted to ride and she had been out once on the horse. Up till now, is all I heard was how great/gentle/I'm not afraid of him crap....Well when I was talking to her she told me he did great, but that he really likes to walk out fast and be in the front...and you could tell she wasn't quite as enthused about him. She didn't want to go with me last week because of the wind.

She called last night and asked if she could go with me today. I said sure, she was going to be here at 1:00. She just called and said she was having an anxiety attack, headache, worrying about the ride, so she didn't think she would come. Then she said I think if I just lay down for an hour I'll feel better could I wait till 2:00 to go, but even then she wouldn't guarantee she would be able to make it....

I knew getting a new horse would not fix her problems. It's her not the horse. We talked a bit and I told her I was only going to ride anyway for not much more then an hour because Harley was still having some problems. She said she would bring Major for me to ride:), that if she could ride Major (he's her old one), anyone could. I just said, they why are you afraid of him??? I don't think she liked that, but I will not cater to someone who won't even try. I know I'm a mean person, but this lady won't even try to master her fears. Hell I was afraid, still am, but at some point you need to decide if you are going to do this or not (.) and then do it or not.

I told her if she couldn't guarantee she was coming at 2 I was going to go ahead at 1. She's going to call at 12:30 to let me know if the hours nap helped....

LOL...Grizzly is an idiot...He likes to grab hold of tails and just ski over the ground, and get slung around as the horse turns. Why he's not dead I don't know. I hollered at him to stop several times, and he just tunes me out.
