Okay, regarding ebay - I think Janelle has one and my niece has one.
Oh, pooh .. The EBAY account looks like it's from Colorado .. I'll keep digging! lol
Thanks. I told Bob she is so lucky she didn't give a California address. I'd be in my car and halfway there by now.
You never know where the fraud starts and stops... the hutchranch name may be coincidence, or she may have copy-catted the identity from the ebay or somewhere else, just like she copied the horse.
Somebody did actually place the ad from a computer in Florida, so Florida is not completely made up.
I guess we'll know soon enough, when the IPS police get through with them, huh? I gotta hop off of here for the evening ..
Look for pics of "my" horse tomorrow. I'm going out to ride!
Good! Look forward to the pics!
I reported to the link that you gave me - from what I understand, they will forward it to the appropriate agencies if possible.
Cool. Let us know if you hear anything back! I haven't checked, has he taken the ad down already? When he does that, I imagine she'll know she's been found out.
Yes, he's pulled the ad and my niece said the email is bouncing - although she didn't have the capital letters so that might be why. She's trying again but I'll keep you posted.
Wow. You find out anything yet? I checked the ad and there is no number now. What are the chances of an owner finding her horse like that. I would watch him close though. It may just be a picture scam but didn't you have a foal stolen a couple of years ago? It wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't started by someone in your area.
No I've never had a horse stolen, thank God. I am going through all the ads on appaloosas little by little to see if I find any more of my horses. Haven't heard back from my niece so I don't know if the email bounced a second time or not.
Oh, it must have been someone else. then. Sorry. Was the picture one you took?
I did find a Bunny Hutch Ranch in Texas that raises miniature horses. I wonder if she stole their name.
What a bizarre scenario.... and really quite remarkable that you ever found out about it.
Tuffy is just 'now' two, right?
Do you need help looking? I'm just watching TV. Just tell me where and what to look for.
Really bizarre and I'd have never known it if I hadn't gotten the nasty email :) Tuffy will be two in March.

Did you ask the site admin if she had other horses for "sale" or had "sold" any before?
Nope, that won't work. I ran out of pictures on page 12 so the rest of it is just text ads and no way to tell. Thanks anyway :)
