Brrrr. Makes me colder just looking at it.
Not here - my fern finally gave up the ghost this fall. I think just way too dry here for it.
Well, I wasn't sure any of them would make it... We'll see if Frog's sends up any new fronds this spring. :~)
I know which is worse! The frozen pointy stuff might be cleaner, but they really hurt walking on it.
No, I didn't hear that, that's terrible. Falfurrias would be around Wharton? South of Houston?
In the 40's here too. Not so muddy here because it is so rocky here in the hill country, but everybody's tracking in yellow clay.
Rain coming. I have to go down to the repair place to load up my repaired utility cart in the horse trailer and then brint it home and unload and then load hay and throw it. Erk, will the work never end.
But that's a pretty sky!
Y'all are getting snow but we will get rain down here. It's coming in from the Pacific.
What, she charged you for your OWN cap?!
The pansies were still alive before this hit. They were starting to bloom again from the last snow fall.

Mine didn't make it. It gave up the ghost during the summer drought, even tho I was watering..but then nothing much made it in my garden this past summer.

They'll perk back up when the ice gets off of them. They never cease to amaze me with the way they can be do that. Mine have finally started to look pretty decent with all this 60 & 70* weather we've been having here lately. They should really be nice and thick by spring. But there for the longest time they looked just plain scraggly. I guess I planted them too late and they didn't get a good start before it got really cold.
Have you ever used Preen in your flower beds? It keeps weeds from coming up.
No it is a little north of Edinberg/McAllen. It was a girl in her 20's
Yeah. Good thing I was holding my coat:')
Doesn't that just take the cake. When you NEED them to be able to scan something, it won't scan, and you have to stand there forever while they send somebody to get one that will. Sheesh!
I think Murphy's Law was written with Walmart in mind. I always go in with the thought that whatever can go wrong will go wrong :)
What do you do? I hate running "errands" at 10 different places or going to the mall. Walmart is about it. I did get a Fingerhut catalog today though:')
We are planning another trip to Home Depot this morning, to buy the things needed to finished up the wall behind the fireplace. The cold weather has arrived and it's time to burn wood. I am having a contractor come Monday and redo my shower, so I need to get some fixtures and a vanity also.
You all have a great weekend.
Good morning and Happy Saturday everyone! It's going to get above forty today I think :~)
If it's as dry and sunny as they say, I may take horse blankets off and lunge a couple of horses... maybe let them run naked on the grass. It's been a long cold snap.
