P2B checking in ... we just had freezing rain. My truck doors were frozen shut this morning and it took about 15 minutes for the defrost to melt the ice on my windshield after I got into the truck, but the roads were fine.
Passed 4 wrecks in the 20 miles to work, but I didn't have any problems, steady c-c-cold rain is all. Temps hovering right around freezing.
Yes things are getting worse. 5-8 inches of snow predicted for this weekend:(

I'm happy as heck for our cold here, this Arctic air is a lot more stable than that windy tropical stuff we were getting all our storms from. Cold here... but as long as there's no wind I'm happy.

Sure... you'll just have to try it sometime when you want to upload a bunch of pictures at the same time that Becky, Frog and I all went on a trail ride and have posted about 12 pictures each and videos. ;~)
My husband is planning to drop me off in El Campo and then head to Houston Sat. TWC saying this will be out of here by then. Are you hearing the same locally? I just read Beckys post and TWC has seemed to predict higher temps than we had and has been constantly changing thru this.
Yeah, they are saying that we're going to be above freezing today .. below freezing tonight .. and then no more freezing temps through the first of the week ..
High 30s to 50s .. so he should be good.

The ones I have seen, have cupboards in the front and that squares off the nose. Then you have to sleep sideways of the trailer.
Horses need let out and I am cleaning out closets. The repairman is coming Monday to redo the shower in my bathroom. Winter is good closet cleaning time...:)

I am stuck here and can't get out --- or rather if I did take the truck to town I couldn't get back up the two hills to my place.
Brought the horses up to the corral in front of the house so now I am sure they are getting hay and grain. I have to start boiling water to melt the hose down to their water tank though and that's going to take all morning.
Down in their pasture it is frozen over so they couldn't graze. I only have enough hay and grain to last today and tomorrow, so I sure hope this ice melts by tomorrow. I wasn't stocked up because there's so much grass down on my leased pasture.
Getting them up here, up the hill, was an adventure. It was totally iced over. They broke through but I didn't.
Well, time to start boiling water.
I have to make paths across the yard and down to the corral with ash from the fireplace to stay on my feet.
I sympathize with the frozen water... I was thankful to have my hose back yesterday.

Hopefully it will start thawing soon. I should be at work. Yesterday I made an extra key to the van. It doesn't work. Now I have to move my son's van. Tie the dog up because she will run out, move her heater and blanket and take the Mustang out of the garage. grrrrr.
Well I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any troubles. I imagine that weather like that down there is almost a once-in-a-lifetime kinda deal.
Jeez Louise Becky! That's awful! But at least it's not ice. Snow I can live with. Ice is deadly.
