We hang heat lamps over the foaling stalls but they aren't going to touch the cold we're having right now. We've got two large ones hung over the rabbits in the garage and it's barely 30 degrees under them when I checked this morning.
Now - is that Pony's breath or the ghost we saw when Cyn made her "I'm outa here" exit from the barn.
Well, hopefully you can find away to keep yourselves and the babies warm out there.
That's the question, isn't it. I didn't see it until I looked at the picture... it's maybe one of those "only shows up in pictures" kind of ghosts :~)
Ewwwwwwwwwww, Homestead, I'm sorry .. hehe.. At least you are having weather in the 80's .. lol
BTW, I took the nerdy-quiz and scored a 4. Yes a ( 4 ) FOUR ... LOL
It told me I was probably pretty cool .. hehehe
Hey, Congrats on the new hoss! Sounds like you'll have your work cut out for you trying to keep 3 horses worked. Believe me, I know how that is! I'm looking forward to the pics.
We had a good Christmas here, it's the rest of the winter that's been hard to bear :~\
We look forward to pics of your new guy :~)
And a Northern Flicker Woodpecker.

I like the one of Bay looking around the tree:)
Becky
Sounds like you had a good Christmas:)
So what's his name?
Becky
Becky those are just beautiful bird pics :~) Keep them coming!
Those are really great bird pics! I've GOT to get a camera with a zoom like that.
Yeah - me too. I tried to take some pics to show how ~many~ birds were around our feeder too, but I scare 'em all off trying to get close enough to get the picture. They come back when I go inside.
Hey, I just realized that the Northen Flicker is the Alabama state bird. I'd always heard it called the Yellow Hammer, but I thought it looked familiar so I Googled state birds and they are the same thing. Cool!
A 4! Do you have to get somebody to log in for you? :O
Don't know. He hasn't been registered yet so I have to give him a registered name and something will pop up out of that, I guess.
Real snow is coming down here, big fluffy flakes. First time in about eighteen years.
Yes the birds here are desperate for food, they need it to keep their body temperature up. I am also pouring hot water into the bird bath so they can get a drink, it is freezing repeatedly.
Good pictures!
I have a pair of orioles, lots of sparrows, r3edbirds and blue scrubjays.
