"....and the look on Pete Carroll's face after the interception that put UCLA's win over USC on ice."
And the collective celebratory sigh of relief in Columbus, knowing they had dodged the bullet that Michigan took for them yesterday.
Well, for most of the "big boys" in Div I, almost half the schedule is used up playing the same kind of teams Boise State played this year. Even big conference teams' schedules include their share of easy wins ... can you say Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, MSU and Minnesota?
Gotta hand it to BSU though.....they played tougher & smarter than OU.
I was wary from the get-go about this game......
I heard that. Peterson is a Psych major, he was obviously giving credit to his backup QB's as a confidence booster going into next year. One of them will be the starting QB next year.

You are not kidding. The Trojans pretty well may have dispatched the Buckeyes in a similar fashion. The Trojans will no doubt be the #1 team in the country next year as stacked as they are. Pete Carroll will remember that UCLA game when they take the field again next year in the Coliseum. All that I can say that I think that it will not be a fun time for UCLA.
My prediction of the Final Score:
Ohio State Buckyes 512, Gators 3

Nah, our kicker sucks, we'll only score touchdowns.
Maybe Colorado should have gone after Peterson instead of Hawkins.
Agreed. Props to BSU!
FSU hasn't done any celebrating against the Gators lately.
BTW, I'm a betting man; looks like the Dolphins will probably lose Saban to the Tide for a cool 40 million. Can't say it's a huge loss, as the team hasn't really improved in 2 years. He's a great coach, however, as any SEC man can attest.

Dude, BSU was #9 going into the game. OU was #7. That makes OU the better team by a slim margin.
The BCs didn't screw this up and seems to have done a fairly accurate job gauging the team.
A highly regarded opponent that had 6 other teams in front of it.
Hawkins is given credit for the sucess of the Boise program the last 6 years. When he went to Colorado he also took most of his assistants, except Peterson. That means that not only did Boise have a first year coach but they also had almost all new assistants.
Will be interesting to see what happens to Peterson the next few years. BSU is reworking his contract to help keep him and he has indicated he plans on staying but one never knows? I remember what Erickson said less than a year ago when signing with Idaho.
They looked pretty good in their bowl game and they are a very young team. Now that Bowden is out as OC maybe they might have a chance. They pretty much draw from the same pool as UF and UM so with some better coaching they will do okay. I really wish that FSU, Miami and UF played each other every year. The UF/UM rivalry is seriously ugly even though they don't play regularly. FSU/UF has offered some good games over the years.
Here is Chrissy:
FSU has the talent, but they have definately underachieved the last few seasons. I think Miami peaked, I don't see them ever getting back to their glory days, their facilities are horrible, and since they joined the ACC, their quality of games, and thus national exposure has gone down. They would have been better off staying independent, like Notre Dame.
