Mt. Charleston Village always has snow, so if I want to play in it, it's a 45 minute drive. When I get tired of throwing snowballs, or taking a sleigh ride (pulled by horses with bells on their harnesses) I can always come home. ;o]

Wood pellets are a scam!
I'm using a blow heater at the moment.

On a good day, it's 90 minutes up to Arrowhead for the snow. Might be in the works in a couple of weeks, after the birthday season is over.

Wood pellets are a scam! You've got that right!
They are starting to make logs out of the stuff, and they don't create much heat either.

My furnace quit long about Thanksgiving, and I've been using a little space heater (with a fan) ever since. It keeps my little apartment at about 72 in the daytime and 69 at night. ;o]
Of course, when I put weather stripping around the door, that made a HUGH difference! LOL!

"Wood pellets are a scam!" You need to get in on that scam. Can you pelletize your waste sawdust?

We've reached our high of -6c, and we are going out.

That's one good thing about CA...you're never too far from the mountains, if you like snow. Or wilderness. Of course, with all the fires SoCal has been having, wilderness may be wishful thinking in a year.

I have a hot oil radiator I use in the office at work--works great by itself, but when a park a fan behind it at low speed, it does an outstanding job of heating the whole office.

Yah, well, I'm used to 110, and I go out in it, but my body stops working below 90. At 20 degrees, I'm more than sluggish...I have two speeds then: Slow and Stop.

I'm coming down next weekend, and I was hoping for some warm weather.
