Merry Christmas. :)
To: rzeznikj at stout
So have I, just like last year. Too bad...
To: darkangel82
Mostly because I've been stocking and having to think about Christmas for the past three months, and now that it's here, I'm just sick of it.
To: rzeznikj at stout
Mostly here because I have no one around to celebrate it with.

Don't feel bad, it's been like this for half my life, but I won't bring that on a Christmas thread.
To: darkangel82
Hey, that's not true.
Come on, it's time to party :)

Now that looks good. :)
To: darkangel82
Fair enough. However, and granted that I only know you from here, I can tell by your posts that you are indeed a good person.
So many of us here (myself included) cannot help but feel bad...8^)
To: darkangel82
Well, it should. I worked *hours* on it (well, okay, not really). So eat, drink, and be merry.

Thanks. Just trying to keep up the holiday spirit here, even if I don't have much myself.
To: darkangel82
No problemo--we're all in this together...

you all know what time it is...
dead thread ping...

Everyone's probably in bed, as I will be in a few minutes.

You sound a lot like me. I was too analytical for my own good at 6 years old, and my father told me the truth about Santa, when I posed a few questions to him.

Kinda figured--but just in case anyone was lurking...8^)

I'm not. I can't sleep. But I hope you have a great night's sleep :) I have to be up in 4 hours anyway. My youngest brother is still young enough to want to get up at the crack of dawn.

I was, and remain so to this day.
Coupled with the fact that I was reading fifth-grade level in kindergarten made my teachers nuts and alienated me from my peers early on...
To: rzeznikj at stout
I was reading third grade level then. When I was in first grade, and the other kids were just 'poking along" trying to sound out their words, I would often be 10 pages ahead of them--somethnig the teachers could NOT tolerate. (And I have known (and still do know)alienation from my peers since I was about 5 years old.)
And it REALLY bothered them when I would try and check out books that were 6th grade level when I was in 2nd and 3rd grades. Not too mention, that some of those books were about energy, electronics and such. I even remember talking about energy storage, in KINDERGARTEN one time,(It was during the "energy crisis" at the time, and something was brought up by the teacher IIRC) about "why can't we store the energy in batteries to use later at night"...I did NOT understand the complexities of energy conversion then--but I was on my way!!
