"Can someone post a picture minus Frank makeup. I've never seen the TV show."
I'm very sorry to hear the sad news.
Peter Boyle, in the role of Frank Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond, was one of my favorites actors in television entertainment.
Frank Barone was an uncomplicated, direct, and tough man. Something we need more of in today's wimpy, politically correct culture with too many metrosexual men.

That's sad. He was a great, funny actor.
Especially in
Young Frankenstein. And
Everybody Loves Raymond Prayers for his family.

When he hosted "Saturday Night Live" (1975) in the 1970s, he demonstrated his fine singing voice. I have a recollection of him doing Marlon Brando in a skit on SNL called "Dueling Brandos." Maybe Belushi was the other one. It was hysterical.

He was also a particularly creepy Lort Durant in Swashbuckler - what a cast: Robert Shaw, James Earl Jones (last movie he ever took his shirt off in), Genivieve Bujold, Beau Bridges. One of the trailers shows Boyle rehearsing his fencing on the beach. Moves pretty good for a big guy. RIP.

A pity. I used to see him on the streets of NYC ... seemed like a regular guy.

I can't imagine anyone in Hollywood portraying Joe McCarthy in a truthful fashion.
Can't wait to see what they do with Pinochet.
