Morty: is it "hot"?
Jerry: It could be.
Morty: You hear that? Jerry got me a "hot" birthday present!

My first was the Tandy 1000RL 8086, No hard drive. Deskmate software, DOS 3.3. Installed a massive 20 Meg hard drive and 786K Ram chip then a 1200 Baud internal modem. First Internet Service was PC-Link back in '89. I think it was under $500. I haven't been able to throw it away. Sits in the back of the pantry all boxed up.

Forget the catfish, give us our daily dose of Dinosaur Media layoffs.

That was about the time they started advertising those "turnkey" work at home scams. That's right, buy one of our $5,000 turnkey kits (basically a computer and a stack of useless manuals) and work from the comfort of your own home in your bathrobe and watch the money roll in!
