Yeah it's pretty well known about Mehlman. He's been asked straight out if he is gay or not and he always refuses to answer, how many straight men don't just admit they are straight immediately?

Because if you do, then they say you're in denial!

His answer should be, "That's none of your business unless you want to date me."

Mahar's a smug dude. But put that aside for the moment.
It's not the gay part of his comments that are alarming; it's the part where he comments on the GOP's collective anti-abortion stance. In an attempt to demonstrate his intellect and deal the party a blow, he goes on to say in the you-tube video post:
"It's so ironic, Republicans, the anti-abortion party, always trying to kill something inside of themselves"
Given that killing is involved, is Mahar talking about partial birth Republicans, or perhaps, third trimester Republicans? Safe to say he's not referring to embryonic Republicans.

I think you misunderstood. Maher was referring to gay Republicans who remain in the closet and attack positions deemed by liberals as anti-homosexual (like support for gay marriage).
In a way, he could be right. Whatever you think about homosexuality, it can't be healthy to have to keep hiding the truth about your nature from everybody and always being in fear of being found out. Just think of the toll it must have had on Ted Haggard all these years.

I understand Maher's tired remarks about homosexuals; the same homosexuals who prefer not to publicly disclose their sexual behaviors. Hes an incredulous fool who regularly commits lackluster commentary to what will become a shallow legacy.
The segue I apparently failed to insert attempts to illustrate two things:
- Maher used terms that state a correlation between abortion and killing inner-life.
- Maher is a callous hack wholl pontificate at the expense of a serious issue such as abortion.
Check out the video if you haven't done so already.

Bill Maher should be shot out of a cannon.Just take him behind the barn .. forget the cannon. What a huge waste of oxygen.

(Pres. Bush isn't Pres. Reagan. Then again, Pres. Regan isn't Pres. Washington. God bless them all.)
