Nicholson is the exception to the rule because he only arches one eyebrow. But notice that once arched, it stays arched.
Watch the old stars like Cary Grant and Spencer Tracy, etc. None of them moved their eyebrows. It's amazing. They must have realized the camera accentuates everything and they wanted the viewer to concentrate on their gaze alone, not their facial muscles.
That's how an actor holds the camera -- by not moving.

Ah, the old Clint Eastwood school of acting. "Don't just do something, stand there"

It's a surprise to me. I was pretty sure the show "Doogie Howser, M.D." was "gay", but didn't think the guy himself was.
Is this going to affect "Barney, "the character he plays on TV now? So far as I could tell "Barney" is a cynical heterosexual. Is he now going to go all Paul Lynde on us?

I actually always figured it was the other kid that was gay. Max Casella, (Vinnie on Doogie Howser) who had what I refer to as "Ralph Macchio Syndrome." It's a condition common in (presumably) male Hollywood actors who don't reach puberty until about age 29. Casella was in his MID 20s on that show!

"Dude, I humped every piece of a$$ ever on that show." Great line from that movie.

Somehow this "news" wasn't really news to me. I sort of suspected it a long time ago. Several years ago with Ellen Degeneres "came out" several other actors and public figures also came out as expressions of support. One of those was Nathan Lane (of The Producers fame). The universal reaction was "Nathan, bubby, we knew. Move on. We really don't care."
