Conservative talk show host accuses actor of faking Parkinson's disease
Updated: 42 minutes ago
Possibly worse than making fun of someone's disability is saying that it's imaginary. That is not to mock someone's body, but to challenge a person's guts, integrity, sanity.
To Rush Limbaugh on Monday, Michael J. Fox looked like a faker. The actor, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, has done a series of political ads supporting candidates who favor stem cell research, including Maryland Democrat Ben Cardin, who is running against Republican Michael Steele for the Senate seat being vacated by Paul Sarbanes.
"He is exaggerating the effects of the disease," Limbaugh told listeners. "He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act. . . . This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting."

What is wrong with MJF to appear unmedicated to show the effects of Parkinson's disease?
You made some good points...
I don't care about michael fox
The point is the bill is a lie (it's not for SC but cloning), ESC research helping Parkinson's is a lie, Talent and Steele voting against SSR is a lie (they are for adult stem cell research... which works, not ESC which doesn't), I have seen him at several venues, we've heard the same researches on both sides and it's a lie. Period.
Cardin, the dem opponent voted against it... who he's also shilling for.

Ann Coulter is proving to be right on the money again with the Human Shield tactic of the left. What Rush really criticized was the lie told by Fox in the commercial and the MSM response is to, well, use Fox as the human shield. To no avail. Keep attacking his message and this will backfire and crumble.
Here is the equation:
embryonic stem cell research + dems = vehicle to drive pro-abortion agenda.
It is that simple. It is that clear. Republicans support stem cell research, just not the brand that encourages the harvesting of dead babies (and the brand that has no proven results) which in turn is just another justification for killing babies in the womb.
Rush said it, Hannity and Bill Orielly last night on his show...Maybe you can get a transcript from Rushs website. I never read MJF book but I doubt all three of those guys would be making this up.
Here you go........
RUSH: All right, people are asking for the cite, that's c-i-t-e. This would be Michael J. Fox, an excerpt from his book "Lucky Man" June 1, 2002. Here is what he writes regarding his appearance before a Senate appropriations subcommittee hearing in Washington on September 28th, 1999: "I had made a deliberate choice to appear before the subcommittee without medication. It seemed to me that this occasion demanded that my testimony about the effects of the disease and the urgency we as a community were feeling be seen as well as heard. For people who had never observed me in this kind of shape, the transformation must have been startling," as it was for me when I saw the commercial he was running in Missouri, because I had never seen him that way before, ever, and I got numerous e-mails from people saying he had said that he does this: goes off the medication to illustrate the ravages of the disease to people and so it's in his own book, that he admits doing this.

Nothing. What is wrong with pointing out he does this. Anyway, he did not merely show the effects of the disease here. I will say this again, it is not what he did. He appeared in a political add to tell a lie (that Talent is against ALL stem cell research) in hopes that showing the effects of Parkinson's disease would insulate the add from criticism. Why, you can't criticize or disagree with Mr. Fox or this add, he is a victim and by criticizing this add or Mr. Fox, you are showing, "bad form." That is what has happened here.
There is simply no way that criticizing this add, in any form, would not have triggered the human shield MSM response. We have seen this before with Sheehan and the Jersey Girls.
But here is what MJF really did wrong. He presumed to speak for all people with the disease, just as the Jersey Girls purported to speak for ALL 9/11 families and Sheehan for all Gold Star Mothers. What about the folks with this terrible disease who disagree with MJF? What about the one's who know he is telling a lie?
Or as El Rushbo calls it;"PMSNBC"!It turn out he was right(as per)!!Michael admitted that he goes w/out his meds when he wants to dramatize his illness!!!Politicization of various diseases or other medical maladies is right out of The Left's "PLAYBOOK"!!!!!!!!!
He became a U.S. citizen years ago.
Thanks. It has already come in handy.
Yep.
Stalevo alone?
Let me fix that for you:
What is wrong with MJF to appear unmedicated to show the effects of Parkinson's disease, when he knows it's a lie that ESC not only does nothing, causes tumors, lies about politicians and it's not the subject of the legislation?
I'm beginning to think you're a mix of Goebbels and Mengele. If you can't see it, I can't help you.
Don't the democrats use tripple amputee Chamblis in the same "criple sympathy" manner?
This is a stunt plain and simple. Fox diminishe all serious efforts to do parkinson's research.
It is an arrogant stunt not to put out stem cells but to elect democrats. Last time I checked there are republicans who have parkinson's too.
