I yelled at the TV as each of those 4 ads aired (each contained more English than the previous, but never entirely).
Frankly, I expect (and hope) that cr*p will turn more than a few CHevy truck buyers into F-150 or Tundra buyers.
Was there any announcement when they would play Game 4 if it is rained out?
I emailed them. this is their reply--note she knew by my first name I was a female--
Dear Mr.
Thank you for contacting us regarding the broadcast of a Spanish-language Chevrolet Silverado ad during the third game of the 2006 World Series. We appreciate your point of view and letting Chevrolet know your concerns.
This is the third year we have shown a Spanish-language advertisement during the World Series. We chose to run this ad during the World Series because baseball is such a popular sport with our Hispanic customers, and we feel it is a relevant way to reach an important market during programming they enjoy. Nearly 25 percent of all major league baseball players are Hispanic - in fact, 11 members of Detroit's hometown team - the Tigers - are Hispanic.
There are 44.7 million Hispanics in the U.S. - roughly 14 percent of the population. As the largest division of General Motors and as America's top-selling brand, Chevrolet must continue its appeal to wide variety of Americans.
Again, thank you for taking the time to let us know how you feel and for your interest in Chevrolet.
If you have any product or dealer related questions or concerns, feel free to contact our Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-222-1020. Customer Relationship Specialists are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Eastern Time.

Again, thank you for contacting Chevrolet.
Sincerely,
