I beg your pardon. I thought you were talking about Rogers. Anyway, I heard he met with the reporter later and apologized profusely.

Rogers in the 8th. Leyland must be expecting a tough series. Saving his bullpen as long as possible.

I wonder who the last pitcher was who pitched a complete game in the WS.

I hope so. When he went to Houston, he autographed 2 baseball cards for me, just in case he got famous, he said.

Interesting question. Did a Google search and didn't come up with much except Josh Beckett, 2003 with the Marlins. He was awesome as I remember. Leyland and Pudge on that team, it was a great series.
Mickey Lolich, Detroit, THREE complete game victories in the 68 Series, plus the only major league home run he ever hit, if you can believe it.
I hope they gave him a good seat for this. In the 84 series, I remember the announcer saying, "See that last seat, in the upper left corner of the left field bleachers? That's Mickey Lolich sitting up there. That's the only seat he could get." Jerk management.

The Cards are on the scoreboard, starting with a 2-out rally.
