I don't mind being confused. I'm good at it.
lol
for tonight I'm gonna eat my "ma cheri me oh"
LOL.
*** I am so going to hell.
As well you should, for making me squirt hot coffee through my nose. ;-)
Also from the article:
"It's actually been kind of nice. And I'm getting healthier, eating right and toning up."
and
"Bowen guessed they've got enough food for about three months."
Writes itself, doesn't it?
My nephew was an EMT who went to the scene on Rampart St. He stayed through 'The Thing', so he's hard to impress, but even he was horrified by this one.
New details are coming out now- such as this guy was SERIOUSLY messed up. He had burnt himself with cigarettes 28 times, once for every year he had been alive, and he'd had sex with his girlfriend's corpse after he strangled her.
Look- I'm sure someone loved them. They were someone's family, but- these were the hard-living, bar hopping, disturbed types that seem to find each other. Broken, weak, self-abusive people who can't break out of the cycle.
No one deserves to die like that, but I can't say it was out of character considering their history.
"I don't get it. Why go through all the trouble to kill, chop up, and cook your girlfriend if you're just going to off yourself?"
From the suicide note found on Bowens body....
This is not accidental. I had to take my own life to pay for the one I took. If you send a patrol to 826 N. Rampart, you will find the dismembered corpse of my girlfriend Addie in the oven, on the stove, and in the fridge along with full documentation on the both of us and a full signed confession from myself.... Zack Bowen.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." -Manuel II Paleologus
He had four bacon cheeseburgers and a huge plate of macaroni and cheese. He was full.
I can tell you that Addie was a very free spirit, but a very troubled soul. I know nothing about Bowen, but I attended high school with Addie, and got to know her very well.
She did have a hard time growing up, and obviously, couldn't escape the past.
Unfortunately, you're right, no one deserves to die like she did.
This is such a haunting story. I feel so sorry for your nephew and all the others involved with this case. I can't imagine trying to get those images out of your head. Thanks for your insight on the case....
First, it's good to see that "compassionate conservatism" is alive and well. Secondly, the couple had not moved "there," to New Orleans, a major port city in OUR country, last year. Hall lived here a few years and her murderer, Bowen, longer than that. Obviously, this sociopath's behavior can't simply be viewed as a response to any single event. However, doesn't it seem more likely that the five years he served in Iraq might have "screwed him up" more than "the Leftist moonbat activism" you cite?
