The guy's an idiot but the sentence is too harsh. The judge needs some perspective.\ I agree. He would have gotten a lighter sentence if he robbed a 7/11.

You both believe a sick man who wanted his tball player to intentionally hit a handicapped kid deserves six years in prison.
Yes I do. He intentionally tried to injure a KID by BRIBING (something you are conveniently ignoring) another KID (corruption of a minor) to do it (conspiracy to commit assault). You don't have a leg to stand on.
You're sick in the head. You must live such functional lives \rolling eyes
I may not be the bulb of the bunch, but at least I'm not making excuses for a Child abuser and corrupter.

You're sick in the head.
Projecting?

According to
MSNBC:
Downs was acquitted on a more serious charge of criminal solicitation to commit aggravated assault. Jurors deadlocked on a charge of reckless endangerment. The judge declared a mistrial on the endangerment charge, and prosecutors said they wouldnt retry him.
In other words, the prosecutors threw the book at him.

Why do you keep down playing the "assualt for hire"? The coach didn't just ask (although that would be bad enough) he offered money for it. That drives up the sentence.
It just doesn't command SIX YEARS IN PRISON YOU FREAK. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?
A woman honked at me in traffic today, I'm not suggesting we arrest her.

Had I been on the jury, I would have gone for the criminal solicitation to commit aggravated assault charge. Even if he only offered a dollar, it's still assault for hire IMO.

He got three years for each charge. He was sentenced to two charges, thus the maximum of 6 years.
Do you always resort to ugly name calling when stating a difference of opinion? I know of a whole political party that argues in that manner!
