Yes, after I posted, I read in one of the numerous articles posted that the home detention doesn't start for another few days.

The FA isn't going to be on 60M.

Has Kim actually told multiple stories, or has she just given multiple opinions?

I think she was just mad at being made fun of and wanted to bust their chops without realizing that she had a problem, i.e. Mangum, one her hands.

I will grant you that miscarriages do occur, but they are not the norm, and they are not accepted by the hundreds of thousands of LE officers, detectives, investigators, prosecutors and deputy DAs in this country. There is a controlling ethic that permeates most of LE, although there are the rogue cops and DAs such as Liefong and Gottlieb preying on the public to make a name for themselves at any cost to individuals and society.

I'm just asking that people be careful with their rhetoric on this subject. It does nobody any good to be unaware that these cases do happen, but it also does nobody any good to believe that the entire system is corrupt everywhere because it most certainly is not. Another point to consider is that there is a difference between a mistake and the corruptions of deliberately railroading the innocent or turning a blind eye to the criminal acts of those favored by the LE officials for whatever reason. The system is run by human beings and no investigation and no prosecution is ever letter-perfect, but that is a far cry from deliberate corruption. Even with minor mistakes and oversights, we still manage to send a whole lot of bad, evil people to prison in the furtherance of justice and protection of the public.

When it comes to the activities of LE, I think that vigilance is a healthy and necessary process because of the powers we entrust LE with, but that does not and should not equate to suspicion or outright condemnation.

Howlin, I didn't realize that abb had added you also as maintaining the ping list. I bow to your seniority! (In Freeper years that is.)

Good on you, good on Reade.

If you see him again, please tell him he and the other two are in our thoughts and prayers, and that we are doing our best to hammer away at the corruption and fallacies in the case, and that we are absolutely appalled at what is being done to them.

Oh, no.......I've had the ping list all along. I started it within days of the first story.

No problem at all. Use yours when abb's when you need to. We can't all be here all the time.

Reade's Dad is/was Jewish. His Mom is Catholic. They are a spectacular family.

I refuse to read anything they say unless and until they come to Jesus on this case, and we know the NYT ain't gonna come to Jesus on anything.

Sometimes the simplest reason is the best; I can go with that one. In fact, it makes the most sense; after all, she's NOT in collusion with Mangum.

Lis Wiehl was claiming that Kim had no credibility because she had told "all these conflicting stories" (to paraphrase) Yet she failed to say the FA had told some doozies herself--making it appear Kim had no credibility & therefore should be called by neither the defense nor the prosection at trial, yet she didn't appear to have the same mindset when it comes to Crystal. I was really just noting that Lis is still drinking the Koolaid unlike a few others who are beginning to come around. Finally.

There is a strong feminist element controlling the justice system. False allegations are VERY common and practically encouraged by the DAs and judges in this country because in many, many cases they refuse to prosecute those.

Look I been there, done that, and I got the tee-shirt. Things are not as rosey as you are painting it - there is a very serious crisis of justice in this country. Why do you think this case touched such a raw nerve?

This is scary. I am sure this case (along with a few others)has cause the judicial system to lose credibility.

Then why did CBS promote her?

All I can say is based on their actions, CBS seems hell-bent on destruction.

And they certainly are on track to achieve that goal.

Until that contingent of "Something must have happened" is gone, this case continues. It's such a travesty.

Howdy, Howlin,

Yep, everyone looks for your posts. You're a legend. I even remembered you alone, and no others, from when I came back after being a member 5 - make that 6 now - years ago. :>

I hope Reade logs on and that he realizes the level of support he and his two mates are getting and just how outraged people are at this fraud. I also hope he reads the blogs we link to and the amount of related information, especially the political information, being gathered that is putting together the pieces of what really went on behind the scenes that motivated Liefong to undertake this travesty of justice in the first place. You did read the blog article about Liefong's campaign funds, right? Huge eye-opener.

I think Mangum was out of it and probably wasn't even aware of Kim's 911 call or half of what went on inside or outside the lax house. Remember, she fell on her butt down the steps because she was out of it, and that event would have made her more out of it. I think Kim made the 911 call because she was mad at the boys because they either got some of their money back or she was insulted because they weren't satisfied with their physical appearance, be it due to race or age or just general atractiveness, and she played the race card via phone to bring the cops down on them, hoping to get some of them in trouble for being drunk and drinking under age. I think she (and Mangum) sat down the road in Kim's car and she watched while the cops tried to roust/raise the boys, and left when she saw they were gone or not answering. She didn't want any direct contact with the cops because of her warrant, and di her best to appear to be the good samaritan and blow them off at Kroger's while still getting rid of Mangum. The 911 call really doesn't have much to do with anything pertaining to the case except help pin the time line down somewhat.

The AV told the police those things about Kim. Kim denies them on 60M. Kim refutes parts of the AV's police statement. Rather strongly too with her head shaking.
