One of the Back to the Future flicks had the Cubs winning in 2015, against Miami, was it?

Did you see the Yanks vs Detroit tonight? Wow, what a game! Kenny Rogers was
awesome. Seeing the Yankees get beat that bad is a beautiful thing... :o)

Tigers are on the way. Detroit 8, NY 3.

I'm thrilled for Tiger fans. Detroit deserves to be in the ALCS, having had the best record in baseball for much of the year, and the fact they beat the Evil Empire makes it all the more sweet.
Rematch of the 1972 AL playoffs. May the best team win, and go on to win the WS.

I've read a lot of the comments on an A's fan forum, and I've interjected more than once, in the midst of severe angst displayed by the other posters, that perhaps Detroit is just that much better than Oakland. For most the season they had the best record in baseball. Their only slump was in Sept., which allowed the Twins to win the division. They should be considered the favorite to win the World Series.
My reference to "Bring on the Tigers!" was a means of sticking it to the Yankee fans, as the ALDS wasn't wrapped up yet.

And people forget the Tigers were the best team in baseball for most of the year, they wilted a bit under the pressure down the stretch, but they've learned a lot from the experience. They've got the perfect mix of veterans and youth.

To be honest, I think the Tigers are showing not only that they have better talent than the A's, but that they have a bigger heart, better character. The Tigers clearly are the better team, and I'll be rooting them on regardless of who the NL representive is.
