Your poem is now on your page! :)
Cool! Do you have a link handy? I haven't had the pleasure of setting Bookmarks for quite some time now, as I bounce between computers and countries!

Rarely do I write feminine to feminine, usually I write to a masculine figure.
Something different for this poet.
Yes, I took that as merely a continuance of the style I was writing in, and found it to be, gasp, scandalous!!
[Do you have any pictures of 1920's "Flappers", those shocking women of that era, one would look good right about here! (and also a touch of Manhattan Transfer, to round out the flavor!!)]

Got the Manhattan, and mayhap a flapper or two. BTW, my beloved Mom was a young woman in the 20s, yup she was a flapper. I have pictures. LOL

The pictures you added to the Anthology look great! That sure is a fun site, maybe in five or ten years we can publish it as a book (with some editing and arrangement to present a coherent flow).
But I hate to be picky, but there's no space between the title of "Lazy Weekend" and the previous poem! (sorry, perfectionist!)

Oh, I appreciate the comments. I did a hurry up job when I put it in there tonight.
As soon I as I get this safe on the site it will be published to the web.
I have more of your pics to load up and will do so pronto. They add so much interest to the site. ;)

Aha! There's a flapper! I sure like this MT. I'll have to ask you to post those up once more after I get my new laptop, I pitched out that old PC that I saved the MT songs to the last time I left Taiwan. Next time I'll save them on one of those little memory devices, or at least I'll keep the laptop a few years!
tick tock tick tock, my cafe time is running out, just 20 more minutes!
I think I'll spend the day reading and exercising. I can complain with the best of them, but actually the apartment I have to live in is pretty decent, and has a more-than-decent view. It's just that, without an outside connection to the greater world, it immediately turns into a cold concrete box! Oh well, just a short while and I'll have a nice PC and internet connection to use. In the meantime, I'll just read in my other-wise quite comfortable apartment!

My Castle!

Ruminations in My Fall
A country road, leading off around a bend
amid the last vestiges of that golden fall
a road to somewhere, some when yet to find
and I amble on in search beyond times bind
answering to some deep and haunting call
seeking, questing until some unseen end
Soggy gold and russet leaves litter the road
lying in scattered piles amid the browning grass
that waves in the shifting sifting wind about me
and I pull my coat closer, thinking of home you see
where there waits with loving heart my true lass
to welcome me and ease my ancient weary load
Scudding gray clouds overhead on the winds race
giving this day a cast as gray of granite dust dull
yet I smile, for I have see more than most ever will
Ive seen the Oliphant and the Tiger, but never my fill
holding treasures within to sip like wine, never to cull
savoring the world Ive traveled at my lifes pace

Not all Castles are Stone
Castles are the homes we build around us in life
those places where we find the peace beyond each day
our quiet keeps with walls festooned with family faces
where we rest our tired souls from lifes random paces
after slaving in some gray cubical for each days pay
we raise the drawbridge and shut off all the strife

Slender, swimming, silent swan! How gracefully you glide along! Your coat of white, purer than snow; You see, with lofty eyes, to grow Ducklings and fowl that squawk and screech; How different you are from each Of them; how beautiful and quiet, Indifferent to their childish riot! Peaceful and noiseless and relax'd, To full and mighty splendour wax'd; We see you, glorious, today, But know you soon must swim away.
