A couple of hours later he and his team-mates were booed by the vast galleries Why? ...because Tiger and his teammates had the nerve to speak out against their island's fabricated, baseless, and tasteless tabloid stories about their wives?

I read about these pictures. It wasn't his wife being plastered all over the internet for porn pics. I don't blame him for getting 'teed' off for this one. (I'm glad it wasn't his wife. I can't see him marrying a porn star.)

If he were French, perhaps he'd have asked a few German members of the crowd to have a go with his wife on the green...?

And in the interview I saw, Woods went out of his way to blame the rag that printed the pic/s and no-one else...

Tiger is a class act. If he's pissed its for a reason. This should be more than a golf tournament!

I'm no Tiger genuflector but he's absolutely right to defend his wife from that sort of attack. If she wasn't Mrs. Tiger Woods, they wouldn't publish such crap and the only reason they do it is try to throw golf's best player off his game.
It's very unsportsmanlike. If I were Woods, I would threaten to boycott any future golf events in Ireland.

I truly believe that Europe is fast on its way to becoming our biggest enemy... more than China or Russia. The differences in our values are becoming a chasm.

No, because it is the fashion to bash Americans for Iraq, Bush, etc. From what I hear, you don't admit to being American while having a brew in the UK or Ireland these days.

So the Euros can't seem to understand why Tiger Woods might be annoyed about some mag printed fabricated photos of a naked woman and saying they're pics of his wife?
Holy Cow, they really have gone round the bend.

Two days before a ball is struck in earnest at the 2006 Ryder Cup the atmosphere around the K Club turned a little angry yesterday after Tiger Woods took the unusual step of publicly condemning an Irish magazine for publishing fake photographs purporting to show his wife, Elin, naked. It's unusual to condemn the publication of photographs which purport to show one's wife, naked?? I would have said it was unusual for any self-respecting publication to stoop to such a thing. Tiger's reaction is altogether correct and proper.
The world has gone crazy and Europe is leading the headlong rush to lunacy.
To: blam
Hey, Tiger. The only thing that's unacceptable is a three-putt.
Concentrate on that.

No or as I understand the story the American Team went out and basically did a partial walk through the nine practice hole round rather than actually attempting to play each hole from tee to putt out. The 42,000 spectators went through nasty weather conditions and paid a good fee [24 pounds or about $45 dollars] to witness the activity and they felt they got shafted. Or that is how I read the story.

No, the boos were because folks had paid big money and waited 2 hours in the pouring rain and high wind to see them play practice rounds, which didn't happen.

This should be more than a golf tournament!I sure hope so. Tiger's Ryder Cup record is 7-11-2.

I can bet they won't have the guts to print a drawing of Mo-ham-head.
