Maybe the "drug czar" too.

So does pot in some places. Why is it illegal to grow that, and not mushrooms?

When I attended college, (Auburn University aka The Cow College), a couple of our best football players were caught walking around pastures picking mushrooms. I always giggled picturing them spending hours in a field of cowpies searching for the rarely present shroom.

Is Willie a Libertarian? I thought he was a Democrat.

Impossible, we all know that country music is an exclusively Republican demographic.

Rule #1 of the Drug War: Leave the famous and wealthy alone, or there won't be a Drug War much longer.

They sprout from cow turds.

I've heard you can only get them off dairy cow turds. Other cattle are given some kind of anti-fungal take inhibits mushroom growth.

What better way to get high quality drugs?

They are funny. Local kids have no interest in them, but kids from the university down the hill crawl around the pastures at night looking for them. You can sure smell them when they stop at the store on their way home!

You don't grow the mushrooms. They're like bread mold...God grows them. They once tried to eradicate turd fruit in California by spraying pastures. It was a total disaster to plant and animal life and the shrooms came right back.

He bought the Pedernales Country Club just so he could do that.

If that were the case, people would be finding psychedelic mushrooms in Wisconsin. Texas is too hot to run efficient dairy herds, but there are lots of psychedelic mushrooms.

You sure don't want anti fungals in your milk! Anti fungals reduce the quantity, but they still sprout from the turds in your pasture. It also depends on location. They're very prolific here in the spring but rare in drier places.

There are some small dairy operations in the Austin area. The mushrooms will only grow at certain tempertures. I'm guessing the Gov. can't put the anti-fungal chemicals in cows that produce milk.

Pot does not change a person's beliefs. He knows EXACTLY what he has done and why.

At high doses visual distortions and vivid hallucinations can take place.

Here in Texas they sprout up out of cow patties after a rain...I'd be more worried about E Coli......

They don't have them in Wisconsin? I would have thought they would be more common there than here.

They sprout after a rain here, so that must be the case in Texas too. Maybe it's just too cold in Wisconsin...

There are some small dairy operations in the Austin area.

That are mostly propped up by federal price supports that increase with distance from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. There's a reason why the biggest dairy herds are located in the north. Hot summers in Texas really reduce dairy output. If the market were allowed to function, dairy farms in the midwest would ship concentrated milk with half the water removed on tanker trucks to consumers all over the US. It's no longer necessary to have local dairies to ensure a supply of fresh milk.

And Willie did pay off his debt rather than filing for bankruptcy.

Bankruptcy doesn't generally remove the back tax liability. It generally just stays the obligation until you are out of it. Then you still owe it.

Wow, I just mowed over a couple of mushrooms growing in horse turds yesterday. Not having much experience in these things, at the time I wondered if I had just destroyed some magic shrooms. Do they grow in horse turds? I can't imagine eating one of those things.
