I think a
LOT of Democrats do
NOT want to have this out in public because they're going to get killed PR-wise for such extremely low-class remarks from the like of Natalie Maines. Remember what happened in 2004 when a fundraiser show for Senator Kerry's campaign was full of hateful, obscene material?
Besides, I think the Dixie Chicks totally forget that their music plays to a conservative base of fans, and once Maines made that remark in 2003 that pretty much killed off most of their careers.
