The article leaves out this part of the story:

After nearly drowning in the Pacific Ocean, the singer embraced Islam and after changing his name became a strong proponent of Islamic education throughout the world.

Thanks a lot, Pacific Ocean!

Where's a tsunami when you really need one?

Dennis Miller had a Saturday Night Live bit where he sang "I'm being followed by a Big Muslim, Big Muslim, Big Muslim." I guess you had to be there...

His moslem bros don't like music and they don't like pictures of people, among a lot of things they don't like. Perhaps he has hooked up with a new liberal crowd.

Thank God I got married in the '80s. I liked Cat Stevens' music and I still do, but I can't imagine something like that at a wedding. Reception, maybe - ceremony, no! :)

"Morning Has Broken" is actually an olde Celtic song. My memory is it was even in the Episcopal Hymnal (but then again, that's my increasingly faulty memory)... seemed appropriate at the time with two Celtic-Americans tying the knot.

That one still is in the Episcopal hymnal, and I should have thought of that; somehow I pictured "Moonshadow" or one of his more "pop" songs.

Translated to mooooslim, it goes something like this: AaaaaaahiYaaaaaaaaaaHiYaaaaaaaaaaHiYaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaalllllaaaaahiyahiyaaaaaaaaAkbaaaaaaaaaahiyaaaaaaaaaaaa. They sing it five times a day from those missile launchers they hide next to the mosque.

Is there a Satanic message in his latest album?

You've forgotten what will surely be this albums biggest hit:

"JIHAD! JIHAD! JIHAD!"... such a happy little tune.
