You know "he needed killin'" is still a valid defense in the South.

Yup. And they would apply it to anyone putting that stuff on their bar-b-q.

Beef doesn't qualify as barbecue.

I love interjections!

Show excitement, or emotion. Generally set apart from a sentence by an exclamation point. Or by a comma if the feeling's not as strong.

Wow! I love my Beetle!

Hey, do you think it'll ever run?

Heh heh!

The book is fantastic, Matthew's science book. We were going over the lesson and it pointed out that God designed the sun to emit just the right light waves that best penetrate our atmosphere and it's the best color for our eyes to work with.

I stopped and looked at Matthew and said "Isn't that astounding!"

I really had to just pause and contemplate that for a while! LOL!

Actually... if the sun was created first, wouldn't it have been our eyes that were designed to work with the light waves emitted by the sun, and not the other way around? ;~)

Or, the sun was created for our future eyes...

Either way...it's astounishing how it all works together.

Supposedly, our eyes see yellow best. Funny, 'cause I don't care for the color yellow...it actually hurts my eyes. (Like highlighters.) I can stand it, but I prefer pink or blue highlighters.

My Beetle is yellow, but it's a very soft color yellow, not bright at all. More white in it, I guess. The color of butter.

The original color is a bit brighter and I wish I could just have it painted to match the color it is now. However, that isn't in keeping with our philosophy of this restoration...the idea is to "put it back".

Still, it isn't an obnoxious yellow, like some I've seen. Or a baby poop yellow, which is just down right ugly.

The color of the Beetle was just something I had been thinking deeply about just last night...whilst consuming cholesterol medicine.

So that's that...

I saw a man in the airport last week dressed in head-to-toe linen (you could tell from the wrinkles) the color of orange baby poop.

It was a drapey, blousey shirt and drapey, blousey slacks. Same fabric. Very Carribean. The color of orange baby poo. I was doing NaNo prep at the time and made a note of it in the margin of my notebook. His plane was going to Miami. Linen just does *not* travel well. Linen is good if you're going to stand up all day and not move.

I'm a rabid NC BBQ junkie and enjoy the delicious and succulent diversion of a properly smoked, moist beef brisket every now and then.

No, but they would get a lot of mileage making fun of someone who did.

Thus speaks the voice of experience.
