Agree 100%, but it seems like in the NFL great offensive lines seem to be a product of the system and are built by coaching rather than high draft picks. Teams like Denver just plug in another player and keep going.

If a team's offensive line is performing poorly especially over a period of 3 or 4 years then the fault likely lies at the feet of the coaching staff.

It's damn near impossible to NOT violate the NCAA rules as they are written right now. That's how crazy the system is.

I mean look at the stupid situation with Dwayne Jarrett and USC. That shouldn't have been much of a problem at all, yet Jarrett was more or less fighting for his college career.

The NCAA is corrupt, for sure, but college football is such big business for these schools, they will do just about anything to get a good product on the field. Myles Brand is trying to single-handedly destroy the NCAA. For example, while the APR system looks like a pretty decent idea, there aren't any teeth in it. It's one of those ideas that need to be beefed up more to get taken seriously.

Personally, I think they should open it up a bit more. These schools make just oodles of $$$ off of the players, allow them to make money via advertising and all that stuff, kinda like a job. I don't think it would be appropriate for the schools to pay, but once a player has enrolled in a school, allow that player to make money on the advertising that uses that player.

Heck Timmy Smith still holds the SB single game rushing record and that was his first NFL start.

To be fair, its not Bill Parcel's fault that JJ hired TO.

I think you meant without Belichick.

LOL - yeah. I'm bad about leaving the word "NOT" out of statements when i type when multitasking and it leads to really silly posts.

TO wasn't the problem today, in fact he was an asset out there. Yeah I know he's a jerk, but the guy has serious game.

I agree to an extent, but if you are bringing in 3rd and 4th string castoffs and making them your starters, you won't get very far with the greatest coaches on Earth.

And if you think you can land a guy like Orlando Pace or Anthony Munoz or another great line talent in the draft, you should.

Not saying that this type of talent was available this year, but they had a chance in others to get better linemen and didn't.

I never liked Favre for some reason, and his recent antics have justified my intuition

To be fair, its not Bill Parcel's fault that JJ hired TO.

It would seem that TO was really the only bright spot for Dallas. I do believe that Parcells is sulking about it though.
