I don't see Bruschi back in time for the first Dolphin game--there's a reason they signed Seau. Meanwhile, the Dolphins' defense contained Carolina (okay, no Steve Smith, and it was a preseason game, but both teams' first-stringers played the entire first half), and the offense is much improved.
It'll probably end up being a shootout, and I think this Dolphins roster can win that kind of game.
50-50.

They signed Seau because Biesel sucked!!!!!
To: misterrob
Also because Bruschi's wrist is injured.

This was out of his control ... but he's been blessed with an extraordinary amount of luck. Hard to believe anyone would say he can't "catch a break".

Okay, I guess he can catch a break--a broken thumb, a broken jaw, a broken appendix...

a broken thumb ... fine ... comes with the profession. The jaw - his own stupidity.
A multi-millionaire 24 year old who's reached the pinnacle of his profession. A guy wtih a personality that nearly guarantees him a life-long career in media and he needs luck?
Have some perspective please ... btw ... I've been to literally dozens of Steeler games. The utterance of "hater" can't be applied in any way. I'm a serious fan of the franchise and hopeful of it's players ... as all Steeler fans have learned to be over the years.

Bad luck for Roethlisberger, if true. Guy can't catch a break. That sure is the truth..almost died in a cycle accident..then an appendectomy..he should probably pray to return to the "safety" of the football field..

a reason they signed Seau. The Patriots at Linebacker are pretty thin. Even with Bruschi in, if Seau has anything left - as the saying goes - in the tank, he's a good addition.

He says he's healthy and can still play, but after two years of him being hit-or-miss in Miami, color me skeptical. He's an insurance policy at this point.

He was one great guy. I'll bet he can still get it done for a game or two.

I have a hard time believing Miami will be that good when they sign the Lions cast offs.

Harrington and Wilkinson both looked great in the preseason. Furthermore, Harrington isn't a starter, and Wilkinson will likely share time with Keith Traylor this year, and take over when Traylor retires.
Detroit's primary problem is its head office. Miami's is in order.

Hope he enjoys it. I'm sitting here waiting for the Steelers to sign Billy Volek.

No argument about the front office. But beware of any great preseason from Harrington. We were fooled three years straight by how great Joey looked in preseason.
