I sent it to the show via the contact us email.
lol...
Congratulations on your advancement.
Keep taking care of those who work for you and remember not to be a hypocrite (ala some misguided soul listening to Err Amerika).
It's a crapshoot my FRiend. Roll the dice and pay the price of admission to human nature in the workplace hierarchy. Who's going to win a pissing match between boss and underling? What side will the top floor take: the boss or the underling? How will arguing over headphones during work hours translate to those wondering why work isn't done? Perception is reality. And the fellow could just as easily download the radio program to listen to in the car or at home.
As I said before, Hannity (or Rush or John Gibson) will not see any effect in their bottom line if the guy/girl listened to the program at a more opportune time. Nor will this problem at the office affect Sean, Rush, or John Gibson's wallet. BUT IT WILL AFFECT THE PERSON ARGUING WITH THE BOSS OVER HEADPHONES, RADIO STATIONS, and such. The person may not get the promotion, may be the first to be laid off, or may even be fired for "something unrelated" which is silly...why put yourself in that position. Turn it off. It's simple and it stops all arguments.
This is not an issue of lib vs. conservative; this is common sense workplace behavior.
One more thing, since your the new boss...welcome to the other boss' world. As an owner of a business, I wait a full month before making this quip to all the new managers I meet: "...hey, this is why you make the big bucks." I reserve this joke until after their first hair-pulling session about some stupid fight, or some underling doing the same damn thing they did when they were underlings. It's akin to your parents saying "Wait till you have kids."
Cheers. Congrats.
We are allowed to listen to headphones at work which he was and working away. Nobody could hear the radio. The boss noted the radio station and knew Hannity was on and raised a stink. The coworker sat there in stunned silence.
Then the boss falsified documents. That's whats wrong. Not quietly doing your job and listening to the radio.
When is he on normally? We get it on tape delay. Maybe I could call at the start of the show and explain to the call screener.
From 3-6pm est. Try calling earlier and keep us updated.
Once again it was the boss who raised a stink and went on a diatribe. The coworker just sat there and said nothing he was so shocked.
He was working. I do the production tallies. He is our second highest producer in the office.
So according to you trying to get someone fired for listening to a radio program is okay?
How very communist.
Free advice from a business owner that has learned at the feet of hundreds of other business owners. Analyze the salient points in my arguments before commenting.
BTW, calling me a communist is a nice touch.
