And if Himan wasn't green as the grass in the summer in Scotland - there wouldn't be any notes stating the Nifong directed them to arrest him and then told them he wanted to be alerted when he was in Police Custody.
Why wasn't that in Gottlieb's notes? Clayton's? Linwood's?
You guys may be right, but from my experience Security guards live to become cops. They're like groupies.
We need the name, dammit!
No luck from WRAL. The reporter that covered it didn't have the judge's name in her notes.
More good news. They ain't gonna challenge the camera ban...
"No luck from WRAL. The reporter that covered it didn't have the judge's name in her notes. "
Well, phone the courthouse and ask.
(And if the reporter was actually in the courtroom, how could you not know the judge's name?)
And what is the name of the security guard who testified?
"Well, phone the courthouse and ask. "
I mean, the REPORTER should phone the courthouse and ask.
To me it makes sense, he/she wanted to please the Police / DA - that's why the lowly Hecht's security guard never gave an interview, sold his story, or let the cat out of the bag.
Who is it the would've advised him to keep his/her mouth shut?
And while under no obligation, the guard kept totally silent.
He wants to please, IMO.
"He wants to please, IMO."
I'd like to put him on the stand and ask him if Gottlieb
offered him anything.
THIS MAY BE DURHAM's FIRST TWO DAY MISDEMEANOR AIDING TRIAL!
If I was Kim Roberts with $25,000.00 Felony - I'd be very worried !
GOTTLIEB has an office in NorthGATE Mall.
Is that where the shoplifting was?
"THIS MAY BE DURHAM's FIRST TWO DAY MISDEMEANOR AIDING TRIAL!"
DC had a two-day misdemeanor trial for Finnerty, in the midst of a Crime Emergency. That was for shadow-boxing.
I think it's becoming all the fashion now in misdemeanor trials...
Maybe a Duke Law professor would like to write an article for a prestigious legal journal about this new trend in prosecutions. . .
BINGO!
GOttlieb has an office at the same mall where the Guard works !!!
I knew he had an office there, so I looked for a reference - and found this:
"The accuser viewed the photos at the police substation at Northgate Mall on April 4. Gottlieb told her that she was going to "look at people we had reason to believe attended the party," according to his notes. This differed from the March 16 and 21 lineups, where police gave her specific instructions that the suspect might not be in the lineup: "The person who committed the crime may or may not be included.""

Wonder who Gottlieb's been going to lunch with?
"GOttlieb has an office at the same mall where the Guard works !!!"
Can Gottlieb be put on the stand and asked if he knows the security guard? (Of course they must know each other--the security guard would at least have spoken to the cops there.)
Did they speak about this case?
How recently, and how often?
(I'm sure Gottlieb has about 30 pages of notes which he "remembers" from 3 years ago, and rewrote from his handwritten 2-pages about the shoplifting. . .)
"The accuser viewed the photos at the police substation at Northgate Mall on April 4"
The plot thickens. . .
(Good catch!)
