I'm at a loss for anything to say, on his one.

That's not whale vomit. That's normal UK cuisine

Given that someone was sitting in for America'a Anchorman today on the EIB Network the title of this thread scared me.

Bulemic Whales!!!

I have known this stuff was used in perfume, but I didn't think a find was that rare. I'll have to pay more attention to the beaches during whale season around my shores.
To: Millee
What are they going to do? Print "Whale Vomit Nation" on their license plates?
To: Liz; Grampa Dave; abb; weegee; an amused spectator
Ambergis is used to produce perfume and can fetch more than £10 a gram. The NYT's Perfume Editor just got all tingly inside.
To: martin_fierro
I was wondering why I got pinged on this one... Leave it to a Freeper to tie Pinch into this, ROFLMAO!!

What a coincidence. Mrs Fury and I were eating breakfast this morning and were talking about if whales vomited, what would it look like...

These are essentially "hairballs" of whales. I read a fascinating book last year about the perfume industry and smell science that introduced these to me.
Started buying my wife more expensive perfume siince reading it.
