So we just watch it on TV? heehee
One of the toughest tickets in all of sports.
Here is a collection of some descriptive quotes from NASCAR drivers past and present regarding night racing at Bristol. Taken together, their comments provide a pretty good look at the experience characterized by Bristol's motto: "Racin' the way it ought'a be!"
"Bristol can be crazy. I've always said it is like flying a jet fighter around the inside of a basketball arena, and try that with 42 other jets doing it at the same time. It can get really intense and it takes a great deal of patience by everyone. You just have to hope that you run well and that you can stay out of all the trouble, which isn't always easy to do. Over the years, Bristol has been the source of some real highs and lows for me." -- Mark Martin
"The coolest thing about Bristol is that you have 160,000 fans that you can see all day or all night long. I can remember races where I passed Jeff Gordon for the lead and I could see the people cheering. It's one of the coolest tracks I've ever been to in my life. The grandstands are right on top of you. I mean, when you get out of the car after practice or qualifying, you can see what the fans are eating or drinking. You're that close." -- Tony Stewart
"It's very unpredictable. You never know what's going to happen next at this little bullring. It's like the Bermuda Triangle. You fly in here, all kinds of weird things happen, and there's no explanation for it." -- Darrell Waltrip
"It's Bristol, baby
(Dad) had some great races here. That's why this place is so magical to me. I've wanted to win here so bad. I never thought I'd win a Busch race and a Cup race the same weekend at Bristol. Good Lord, what a great day!" -- Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
I emailed this home, no explanation. :)
Here's the new schedule
'07 Cup schedule released DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The 2007 Nextel Cup Series schedule was announced Thursday, a 36-race slate starting with the 49th annual Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Daytona International Speedway. On Sunday, Nov. 18, Homestead-Miami Speedway will again host the season finale.
NASCAR announced an eight-year television package in December that puts NASCAR racing on six different networks beginning with the 2007 season.
On Sunday, July 1, New Hampshire International Speedway will host the first event in the Race to the Chase, the 10-race prelude to the Chase for the Nextel Cup.
On Sunday, July 29, the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard will be held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
On the evening of Saturday, Sept. 8, Richmond International Raceway will be the final event in the Race to the Chase.
The week after Richmond, on Sunday, Sept. 16, New Hampshire again will have the kickoff event in the Chase for the Nextel Cup, which covers the season's last 10 races and determines the series champion.
In addition to the 36-race regular schedule, the series' two traditional non-points events are again slated both for Saturday nights. The 29th annual Budweiser Shootout at Daytona will be held on Feb. 10, while the Nextel All-Star Challenge is set for May 19 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.
There are no changes from the 2006 schedule, in terms of sites. There are, however, several adjustments to the schedule's order.
In July, the schedule will go from New Hampshire (July 1), to Daytona (July 7) and then Chicagoland Speedway (July 15). Previously, the order was Daytona-Chicago-New Hampshire.
Also, Indianapolis' event will close out July (July 29), followed the next week (Aug. 5) by Pocono Raceway. Previously, Pocono preceded Indianapolis. Those two races will follow the season's final open week.
Starting times and television information will be announced at a later date.

Thanks for the Schedule, saw a PRELIM over on Jayski..
I am working on a plan to BE IN Charlotte for the All-Star and 600 Race next year. May 17 to May 29.
RV at the Fleetwood Center, 5 minute walk to the track.
This would be a super time for Nascar Freepers to gather for a race! Tickets are VERY EASY to get directly from the Track, no scalper prices. Tix should be on sale in February on their website. There are many tour companies that also have very good prices to get you there and back...
Come on folks...could be fun!
