Yeah, no power steering...it can be done.
Mark Martin ran almost an entire Bristol race without it one year...he's got musckles on his musckles tho..IRON MAN!
You know how hard it is to steer a regular car without power..imaging a Nascar...

If memory serves, recirculating ball steering sans power is a tick "easier" than rack-and-pinion sans power. Still, it's a beast if it's designed to be power steering.
