Hitler may have just about been "the devil incarnate", but he sure did go for those Christian legends and imagery. He was heavily into the occult, as you probably know.

Heh. I was born in the mid 80's, so I'm in the "evil Christian-Crusader-Zionist-Pig" era ;^)
But seriously, you are right about not hearing much on the crusades being bad recently. There's been a lot of books that I think helped to dispel a lot of the myths, and to put the crimes that were committed into it's historical context.
A great book that I read a few months ago was "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades".
