How do you get those stills from the video?

I printed (copied) the screen and pasted it into photoshop, cropped out just the video image, then saved the image as a jpeg, and uploaded it to tinypic.com.

I printed (copied) the screen and pasted it into photoshop, cropped out just the video image, then saved the image as a jpeg, and uploaded it to tinypic.com.

When I right click on the screen I get the following choices:

zoom in, show all, quality, settings, print and About Macroflash Player Media 8...

When I click on the "print" option it takes me to where I would print from my HPLaserJet printer.

On that menu there aren't many options.

Let me know if I'm headed in the right direction. I might not have the capilities do this funtion.

I run on WinXP if that helps at all.

Thanks :)

Sorry, for the mix up. To capture an image you can use the prt src (print screen) key (see image 1 below). That will capture the entire screen as you see it. If you just want to capture an image of a window or dialog box, press both the prt scr key and the alt key at the same time (see image 2 below).

Once the image has been captured, you can paste it into any application that has the capability of importing images (Word, Excel, Illustrator, etc. - I use Photoshop). From there, you can alter the image, resize it, add to it, etc. and then save it as a jpeg, gif, bmp, or other. Finally, you can upload that image to tinypic or some other such place.

Let me know if that helps.

Image 1- The location of the prt scr key may vary by keyboard, but is generally in the upper right corner of the keyboard.

Image 2- Pressing the prt scr key and the alt key at the same time will capture just the foremost open window or dialog box.

Sorry, for the mix up.

No problem. I've only used the print screen button a few times so that's where I went wrong.

Anyhow, your instructions were great and I got it uploaded with no problems.

I was always wondering how people posted those stills of videos/live coverage.

Thanks a bunch for your help! ;)

Video for my fellow Skid Row fans :)

BTW nc, you've got some really funny PSs on your homepage but this one cracked me up the most:

I posted one of the Looter Guy on FR a few weeks ago so I'll post the links for you.

I'm an amateur PSer and enjoy doing it for fun and hopefully someone will get a chuckle out of them as I do when I make them.

Thank you for taking the time to look at the pictures, MotleyGirl. I am glad got a laugh out of them.

Great. I look forward to seeing it.

I'm the same. I enjoy laughter (mine and others). I usually send my pictures to Pookie18 and ask him if he will place them in his daily toons thread. I haven't made any new pictures in a while. Sometimes I'll make several at a time and other times, weeks will pass before I make anything. It just depends on my mood and how busy I am with other things.

I have noticed that there are some videos that will not copy (mostly on tv news websites). You can copy the screenm, but the video image will not show up. So far, everything that I have seen on YouTube copies just fine.

Phoebe Cates will always be 18 and beautiful!

And she won't be married to Kevin Kline.

I saw the second year in VA where Eddie Veder showed up late and along with Temple of the Dog played "I'm going hungry"
