Gun safes are like money, you never have enough. :-)
Got three and keeping my eye out for another good deal on the fourth.
FWIW, J&G Sales (Prescot,AZ ) sells the GV1000 (post #5) for $99.95 + S&H
Sorry I am fairly late to your thread. When I had to move to an apartment I purchased a Stack-on 16/24 gun safe from the local sporting goods outlet. It is fire resistant (sheet rock in the lining) and has ample room for guns documents etc. I also purchased brass hooks from home depot and attached them to the door to accommodate my handguns. Cost me about $575.00--safe, sales tax, and hardware. Not as good as my Browning safe I had to leave behind, but adequate enough to contain what I need it too. Plus it is 2 (strong)person moveable assuming ground level moving and a 15.00 movers dolly from harbor freight (3 could get it upstairs) weighs about 440lbs. Afraid of it walking off? it has bolt down holes, and as an added safety measure I keep about 3 cases of 10mm and several thousand rounds of .22 in mine just to add some weight.
