This hit close to home because I grew up in this area..It was horrific. I recalled the other murders for the same reason..That murderer was eventually put to death..He loved seeing the girls suffer..
I used to follow trials a lot..and WHY was always the thing I could not fathom in a crime like this..I finally accepted it is just pure evil and strongly support the death penalty..I have faith that these monsters will receive our justice and God's. They deserve worse by far than our justice system allows.
The cost is something that our justice system requires. I am sure the defense will ask for a change of venue because public sentiment is running high against these sadists.
I agree, you can probably tell by my screen name I live in the area too. We can only hope if they ask for a change of venue they are moved to McLennan County. Unfortunately the Limestone County case isn't a death penalty case.
I realized that I soon as I hit post! I was thinking of what they deserved instead of what the law allows..
Thank heavens we now have life without possibility of parole..We can skip the "parole hearing" bit at least. I hope they took a lot of pictures of her condition when found to show the jury...Of course the defense will call them "too prejudicial".
I'd love for her to become the poster child of our country's realty. How about inviting her to a state of the union address and let those good for nothing, self interested, narcissistic cowards see how they affect the lives of Americans.
Did you post this in "chat".......or was it moved there by the moderators?
Couldn't see THAT comin'! /sarc
This is the problem of evil. Some claim it doesn't exist; others know that it's alive and well.
To answer your question, I think it's God-lessness. I can almost bet that these guys could not recite for you the 10 Commandments. Maybe they know thou shall not murder but it still stands that they can't recite for you the 10.
These guys were no different than Godless Communist killers; the type that would put a bullet in your back as you attempted a climb over the wall.
We can't pick and choose which evil is allowed in this world, a lie or murder... ah, there is grace if one changes their heart.
