US could have finished first in the Swiss, French group. Yes, they could have sent the frogs home and tied Swiss for top spot.
It's all speculation now.
Agreed. Although I think that Switzerland would have been a far harder nut to crack than France. Their team is hungry and they've got momentum, although I think that their real goal is the Euro 2008 championchip in Austria/Switzerland, rather than Germany 2006.

Even a blind overweight squirrel can find a nut in the woods. Hipponaldo's goal will ensure he plays for Brazil for the rest of the competition. That's good news for all the other teams left in the World Cup.Funny to see that you guys agree on one thing -- Ronaldo is fat and past it.
Don't count out Brazil. Granted, they have not been too impressive so far -- but I doubt they've given their best effort yet. Let's see how they play when they face Germany or England or Holland or Argentina or Italy. Beating them is never easy.

Quite a few Chelsea goals too.
Hipponaldo has bagged another one to equal a World Cup record. It's all good as he will continue waddling around in the penalty box against better teams than Japan.

Croats down to 10 men, Aussies should be in the clear now.

Which match ET? One from each team? (office-bound here).

Aussies down a man too spoke too soon, could be a problem with more space now for the Croats to try to go ahead.

One Aussie, one Croat.
Two different Episodes.
Croats pressing now. They had one guy alone with the goalie. My heart just about stopped. Somehow they failed to find the net.

Poll must have lost count of his yellows.

Dang cheeseburger cheeseburger Ronaldo gets 2 goals! He's still a worthy adversary.
