Here's the June 8 filing. Go to page 8, para 4. Apparently Himan made up the "injuries consisten with" fiction. No such language was used in the SANE nurse report...

Himan did not make it up -- he has been on the job since January. Nifong wrote it and told him to sign it, so it is Himan's rear end in a sling while Nifong slinks away (or at least he thinks he will). No way a policeman on this job for two or so months writes that affidavit without the DA preparing it and leading him by the nose. Himan may have been a willing dupe, but a dupe nonetheless, and likely the person Nifong planned to hang if it all went bad.

If Himan made it up, it might be Nifong's lifeline to say that he relied on information provided by an investigator. Himan should consider contacting an attorney soon.

You are probably correct that Himan was one of the first people to have been Nifongulated in the chain of events. However, he signed it, and, therefore legally he wrote it...

Let me bring this strand over from the previous thread:

I think this could be the big story of the week. If Pittman [aka Roberts] did not know previously that Mangum fingered her so to speak, she could explode in the press this week. If I were a reporter looking for a real scoop on this story right now, I would have an APB out for Roberts.

Of course since our press has an agenda these days, none of them will bother unless Roberts issue a press release. Maybe Dan Abrams or H&C should invite her on and ask her how she feels about being names a rapist?

Those were excellent additions to my hypothetical cross at the end of the other thread. If I were the defense I would call in order maybe to end the defense case:

1. Black man #1 from Creedmore.

2. Black man #2 from Creedmore.

3. Black man #3 from Creedmore.

4. Mangum's ex-Husband

5. Kim Pittman [aka Roberts]

Q: Did you rape [try to kill in the case of the ex-hubby] Ms. Mangum like she told authorities you did?

Other than not wanting to be pulled into her next false accussation trial, I would think the defense would do this for sure and it would be very effective. It would be hard to have a long cross as the direct would cover so little. One, two, three, four, five people in a row testifying that they did not do what Mangum told autorities they did would be powerful.

And in the matter of civil lawsuits and liability, Himan may have exposed the City of Durham to massive amounts of damages. I would suggest that the parents go Federally on this one.

Meadows owes the lacrosse team big time. She was Nifongs DUPE on the date rape drug lie. She needs to do every thing she can to correct falling for that.

That was something I also brought up on a previous thread. I wondered why Kim wasn't in custody as a principal with a bail set at 400,000 dollars. Imagine that, Kim was named as a co-rapist! (I'm sure many others were wondering the same).

I believe that Himan had neither the experience nor stature to say no to the DA. I also believe that Nifong will try to hand this on Himan in the end.
