He's taken Bobby Jenks out of the park before so while Farnsworth is tough Ortiz can hit pitches like that.
He has not had a good month in May. No walks and a lot more K's. Power numbers are dropping.
And for the last time, will someone please tell Trot Nixon to stop trying to hit HRs every time he goes to the plate? Uppercut swings mean pop ups.

Any lineup with Robinson Cano hitting 6th is due to fail.
I know Jeter normally hits 2nd, but with him out, I'd put Cano there.
Aren't there still like 17 Alex Gonzalez's in the MLB?

Took my dad (a Yank-off fan) to see the Skanks play the O's on Saturday. Did not realize it, but he told me it was the first Skankees game he had attended since Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 WS. Besides the fact that New York fans are "loud rude drunkards" (my wife's words), it was a fun game to watch. It was much harder to get into Camden Yards than when the Sox play there, as they really step up security and limit the number of gates that are open because of the low-lifes the Skanks have for fans.
Ate dinner at a VERY lousy restaurant at the Inner Harbor. Sat next to Michelle Damon and a few other sleazy looking Yank-off wives. Michelle did not let on that she noticed I was wearing a Red Sox "2004 greatest comeback in MLB history" t-shirt (as well as my Yankees-Hater hat), and I did not let on that I knew who she was.
Here we go folks...spank the Skanks!!

"Aren't there still like 17 Alex Gonzalez's in the MLB?"No, I believe there is only currently 1/2 a ballplayer named Alex Gonzalez still playing in MLB.

I know. One just retired within the last month. He was playing for the Phillies. I went to a Red Sox game on May 25th (I think) in Philly and he pinch hitted. The next day ESPN reported that he retired because he could not adjust to being a utility guy.

I think the only possible guy they would look at would be Dontrell Willis. He would be the only guy the Sox would part with Jon Lester for. But I would not bet on it. I think they will stand pat and wait for Boomer to come back. Lester and Hansen will join the staff later in the season.

maybe....
I don't know though.
If the Yankees got Willis, that would be bad for the Red Sox.

His defense when combined with is offense makes him about .8 of a player.

Jon Lester is coming up from triple A to face the Rangers this weekend due to the double header. He's someone that Theo will not part company with. LHP, 94 plus heat, throws a slider that dives like RJ's does.

sure thing, but do you honestly think that they would turn down a shot at a Willis or someone of that impact easily?
I doubt they would give up Lester, but there has to be someone else....

Theo won't trade Lester for Willis. He's 10% of the cost of Willis and Willis isn't wowing anyone this year either. The Sox have a few more guys on the farm but Ramirez and Sanchez were used to get Beckett and Lowell.

The key to that inning was the 3rd strike on Damon that the umpire missed. Mussina has strikes that are nowhere near the plate and Beckett grooves a third strike to Damon and its called a ball. I almost went thru the ceiling/gave my wife a heart attack.
