I'll boldly make the call here. There won't be a trial, and at some point, the DA will fold his tent and slink off. And it will probably be because the "victim" doesn't want to go through the emotional trauma of a trial, or some such nonsense.

A credible argument could be made that this has been Nifong's plan all along. And that he used it to get himself re-elected. It worked...

Here is WRAL's story from tonight's news:

http://www.wral.com/news/9178286/detail.html

I was mistaken; it wasn't ABC11 that reported they got email from Wade Smith and Bill Cotter; it was WRAL. I just listened to the rerun.

A copy of the report is located in that link above.

I think the majority of the women are not informed about the case other than what they hear on television. If they knew the details they would realize how rediculous the charges are.

OOPS - Per FOX News - her first accusation was that 20 players raped her. Then she changed it to three. YIKES!

Stripper originally told police she was raped by 20 men.

With all due respect, I think the "majority of women" are CHOOSING to not know the facts. They'd rather be spoonfed by the media. It's right up there and supports current controversy as to why more females don't choose SCIENCE and MATH.

That poll just confirms the very subject that Harvard's Lawrence Sommers was trying to discuss until the Harpies poisoned the well of Knowledge.

Those polled, couldn't just say they didn't have all the facts in the Case?

This polling data merely serves to let the MSM know that chicks (by a majority) are falling for the lies being perpetrated via MSM, that they believe everything they hear (they trust their inner "knowers"), and that "feelings" and "perceptions" matter more to the female brain of those polled -- than FACTS.

I wonder if the polling staff and MSM put money bets on this poll.

I'm not that convinced that women are that dumb. I think they're not paying attention to the news.

If they knew this woman has twice claimed she has been gang raped and once claimed her husband threatened to kill her and in the two earlier instances she failed to follow through with her allegations it would be obvious to them that this woman is a liar.

If that isn't enough - an accusation of 20 guys raping her in a tiny bathroom - wowser!

I'm with you on the 2nd and 3 para's. But what this poll really shows is that women who voted in a large block would rather shoot off their opinions, top of the brain, rather than be thoughtful. All it does it prove that women seem to prefer "gossip-as-gospel" rather than the facts, according to this poll.

And the polling firm "permitted" a large chunk of women to reveal they knew nothing of substance about this case, but instead of witholding their opinions, made fools of themselves.

I'm not asserting a blanket assertion upon the "intellect" of females -- but upon those who responded to the poll. Which of course brings up the criteria for whom the pollsters CHOSE to elicit opinions from. The women respondents do not come across as very intelligent nor savvy nor, in general, anything but lame brains regurgitating "garbage in/garbage out".

Meaning, they "believe" what they hear via MSM.

I do not and nor, obviously, do you. This doesn't make the female poll respondants in the majority of "females at large". But it is an indication, IMHO, that some females have such over-self-esteem that they can pronounce an opinion without ever hearing all the facts.

Idiots. Cluelesslinoids.

These women are exemplifying the worst old stereotypes about women, that feminists claimed they wished to STOP. Instead, Feminist Nifong and his Gang of feminized Media-ettes have encouraged women act in ways which foster the old stereotype.

Maybe the women were confused and thought they were VOTING instead of responding to a poll....

I suppose you have a point. I haven't yet studied the criterion for how the polling study was constructed.

Duke has really mishandled this from the very start and I'd be pretty ticked off if I was paying $40K to send my kid there.

Always had a good impression of Duke and it seemed like a place I'd want one of me sons to attend if they chose it and were accepted.

After the way Duke has handled this, I would counsel a teenager to avoid this institution.
