I don't know what the responsibility of a police officer is. If I go in and make a claim against my neighbor about a violent crime, surely an officer would have to question the person I named? And surely the officer would have to write down the disposition of the claim? After all this was a rape claim, not petty larceny. Maybe that's why Bishop can't talk.

My sister's poem about our Mom!
Current mood: thoughtful


beginnings in a land of constant tide,

rich in tradition and full of pride

searching, yearning for the key

unable to find the remedy

for autumn will most surely come

and all she knew will come undone

so strong she stood thru heavy torrents

steady, swimming thru all currents

when will she find the time to rest?

will her entire life be a constant test?

she thought "if I continue to stay strong,

I can't help but find where I belong"

times are different, colors changing.

no energy left for constant faking.

she finds she can no longer hide

all her bubbling feelings inside

could it be that every decision she made

is the cause for all of her dreams to fade.

this is not what she had in mind

as she fled her home country, leaving all behind

who can she tell all the feelings inside

when all of this time, she's tried so hard to hide

how scared and lonely she's always been

but thought she had to hold it all in

is now the time to realize

it's ok to let those feelings rise

we'll try a new trick fill the hole

to mend your beautiful, deserving soul
