It means she's starting to get a kindof crusty waxy 'plug' on her nipples.
Hehehe... you said "nipples."
And I thought I only had to worry about the dwarves...
Ah, OK. Figured it was something along those lines.
Man...hope she does OK.
I hope so too, because if it goes well, it will be kindof fun. The only good thing about c-section is they could spay her at the same time. At least that part would be taken care of :~D
Mornin'.
Be sure to let us know what the vet says about thenewkitty. :-)
Cartman's over here again. Guess he decided all the fuss over that lesser orange kitty was intolerable. ;-)
He just went under the house.
Maybe he's hunting mouses... He barely knows the other kitty is here. She's made eye contact with the other kittens, briefly, but he hasn't seen her yet.
If this momma is a week or more out, and she'll go crazy with boredom in that back room, I'd try to introduce them, but so far she seems rather content to be back there alone.
I think when we really think she's close, I'll lay out one of the rollaway beds and sleep back there with her. Otherwise, she's on her own and I'm not sure we'll know when she goes in to labor.
(we went through the same thing with the cats when the dog showed up. The big male Siamese whomped the poo out of the puppy, it didn't do her any harm and it DID engender respect. She will sniff his butt respectfully, but she won't chase him - not true wrt the other two cats. Although the youngest actually enjoys it - she runs up to the dog and "tags" her, then runs away.)
I can't wait to see the babies! I wonder what the daddy looks like. :-)
In other news, I was very productive this morning and managed to get Becky's school transfer paperwork. Then I went to the pediatrician's office and picked up Becky and Aly's medical records.
I need to call Becky's new elementary school today to find out what they need to get her registered.
I think my Siamese tries to get the dog in trouble. He (the dog) isn't supposed to chase the cats, but Tam will poke him or otherwise get his attention, and then if Cisco chases him, he'll roll over on his back and start crying like "Hey, look what the mean old dog is doing to me!"
But if I ignore the proceedings, he gets up and walks away.
Brat!
Hopefully some of the kittens take after her...she's really pretty!
My big old male Blue Point Siamese is a grouchy boy brat. The middle little blind Blue Point female is a pestering brat. And the little one is a nutty brat. My daughter calls her Psycho Kitty.
The ones we had were WW2 vintage, and were collector's items, even then.
I gotta get in a picture of my M19s, which I've never seen anyplace else, except for Mel Gibson using them in "We Were Soldiers".
:-)
So much stuff going on! I'm so excited!!
Steve's applied for three jobs...two in Houston, one in Midland, which is also in Texas. Environmental Scientist jobs. They are compliance-type jobs for oil companies.
Goodness... moving!
Well, I'm off to the vets... Back in a bit, knowing more than I do now :~D
What? No jobs in Washington?
*wink*
