So South Park made the writers smarter that we expected, there are worse crimes.
ROFLOL:)
Sure I'll watch it with you, and I'll try to keep an open mind, just not this episode, OK:)
Becky
I know, I can't figure that one out:)

And they wouldn't watch regardless.
This South Park episode dissected the issue and showed the Islamofascists to be wacky thugs, the TV execs to be rather spineless PC wimps, and the general population far more interested in ignoring than confronting the issue. They showed all of us to be a little silly and a lot laughable. What more does one want in a comedy?
Got it. :~D

It sounds a bit odd, but I took the image of Christ shitting on the President and the American flag as a substantial compliment towards Christianity, when viewed in context.

Absolutely. It's civilized versus uncivilized.
Libbies can't grasp that. They moan about America becoming a "theocracy," but have no problem at all bowing to islam and it's dark age mentality.
I didn't get to see the episode myself, but I read a synopsis. So, the image of the Prophet Mohammed, police be upon him, was not shown. Ah, well. Parker & Stone got their digs in, same way they did with Hayes. Can't keep a good satirist down, let alone two.
Some idiot preacher on Scarborough tonight missing the whole point as usual from the increasingly stupid TV Evangelicals (do these guys get their reverendships from mail order?) This had nothing to do with "insulting" Jesus, as if He could even be insulted. Matt and Trey made one of the most powerful statements about the pathetic defensiveness of our wimpy culture when they demonstrated that it is just fine to have the Lord himself taking a crap on the President of the United States and the U.S. flag on national television, but it is NOT ok to show a reproduction of another artist's static cartoon of Muhammed, doing absolutely nothing to anyone. Cowardly Central is pathetic, as was Bush for disgracing all Americans by taking his shoes of in a D.C. mosque after 9/11 to declare the cult of death as the ROP.
I'm in my late forties and find SP hilarious.
Most people older than 40 can't appreciate the show...
not all.
Comedy Central doesn't own South Park. They own the rights to the episodes already produced. Parker and Stone own the characters...and they could walk away and take the show elsewhere. CC would still get its cut from reruns and DVD sales, but they'd lose all the ad revenue (and lots of subscribers) that future episodes would generate.
Here's another over-40 SP viewer! I always wonder how shocked liberal viewers must have been when (or if) they realized that Matt and Trey were libertarian and often right-leaning on issues. (Reminds me of seeing Team America in the theater - the libs in the audience were horrified what Matt and Trey were doing to their leftist icons!)
well, maybe matt and trey can make an even more powerful "statement" next time by showing Jesus masturbating.
Admittedly the animation is cute but the storylines are boring as hell, unfunny and fixated on ass functions. (matt and tray are rumored to be homosexual.)
the only (unintentionally) funny thing about it is how heavy-handedly the "morals" of the episode are delivered by the precocious tots.
Most excellent catch fellow Ginger!!! Can anyone with computer skills greater than mine crop and enlarge?
Which was exactly the point Matt and Trey were trying to get across.
I was expecting them to be underpants gnomes.
