From another Blog site that does very well in the Spoiler department....

Over on the idolonfox.com Official Forums, somebody who calls him/herself "Idol Informant" and claims to be a "fired" Idol employee posted the following Theme-night schedule:

Top 9 (Country)
Top 8 (Queen)
Top 7 (Rod Stewart)
Top 6 (Songs of Past American Idols)
Top 5 (Disco)

Themes through the Top 7 have been announced officially. The Rod Stewart theme will concentrate on the 4 CDs Rod has recorded of the Great American Songbook, rather than his rock music. "Songs of the Past American Idols" as a theme is a rumor that's been floating around on the message boards. According to "informant" it includes songs from the CDs of the following Idols: Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Diana DeGarmo, Carrie Underwood, Bo Bice, Josh Gracin, Kim Locke, and Justin Guarini. According to "Informant" they will use "a lot of different arrangements, like maybe a rock version of 'A Moment Like This'" Chris singing "A Moment Like This?" HEE!

ETA: The "Past Idols" theme sounds terrible. I hope it's an untrue rumor.

According to "informant", last year's Broadway theme was a "disaster".

SNIP SNIP

More Gossip from Informant:

* That a certain blonde contestant is not as nice as she puts off. Having an attitude with assistants.

* A certain bald man will have all the crew crying if he leaves, that's how nice he is.

* Paula was almost fired.

Now, more spoilers regarding sons the idols will
sing for coutnry theme night ( CAVEAT : The spoilers
are just that .... RUMORS. Some have been right, some have
been wrong ( although I must admit that a lot of what
I post here turned out to have a grain of truth if you
look back). Needless to say, I'm not going to put my
money on anything here....

1. Kellie--Strawberry Wine--Deana Carter

2. Mandisa--She's in Love with the Boy--Trisha Yearwood

3. Bucky--The Little Girl--John Michael Montgomery

4. Chris--Amazed--Lonestar

5. Elliot--I Do (Cherish You)--Mark Wills **This was also sung by 98 Degrees

6. Katharine--The Lucky One--Alison Krauss

7. Paris--JoDee Messina--Burn

8. Ace--I Swear--John Michael Montgomery **Also sung by All 4 One

9. Taylor--I Like, I Love It--Tim McGraw

Then another source whose friend is apparently friends with Kellie's family said she might be doing "Broken Wing" by Martina McBride...if she does, I wouldn't be surprised, since she did a decent job with it in her audition.

That's all for now folks. Will post some more as I get them.

Queen night....interesting. Who will sing "Fat Bottom Girls?" Who will take on "Bohemian Rhapsody" and not murder it like Lt. Dan last year?

Seriously, Freddie Mercury had such a pure voice, it is difficult for anyone to come close.

As for the country night spoilers:

the Pickler songs sems about right. Another vapid tune. Awful song.

Chris's choice could be very interesting. Good choice if he pulls it off.

Katharine taking on Alison Kraus. Tall order...

Ace - figures....he's nothing but a boy bad singer.

Taylor - not the toughest song but he'll have the place jumping.

Thanks for the info.

4. Chris--Amazed--Lonestar

If true, this would be an awesome choice for him. Great song, and would be a good change of pace for him to show another side of what he can do. I agree with Simon that he went a little overboard (and self-indulgent) with Creed's "What If?" last week.

Queen night? How in the world are they going to take that music (great stuff with one of the best vocalists in rock history) and turn it out on AI? What is Kellie going to sing? Katharine? Mandisa (Fat Bottom Girls is way too obvious)? Paris? Who will butcher Bohemian Rhapsody one of the hardest songs in rock to pull off?

I can see Chris doing Under Pressure or Another One Bites the Dust and Taylor doing Crazy Little Thing Called Love but outside of those two I'm at a loss. I just can't see this as being a reality.

NOT GOOD... As you know Pickler is up way there in votes.
It is time to vote and vote hard for your favorites this week.

Vote at the 'Pick Pickler' phone bank
CTC Wireless offers free text voting in Albemarle

Although the City of Albemarle gathers every week to watch American Idol and local fan favorite, Kellie Pickler, this Tuesday night will be a little different.

CT Communications, Inc. has established a CTC Wireless "Pick Pickler" phone bank for FREE text-to- vote.

Immediately following the primetime show, when official voting starts, the CTC Wireless “Pick Pickler” phone bank begins. The voting stand will be located at the corner of First Street and West Main in front of JD Shuckers in Albemarle.

CT Communications, Inc. will have 40 wireless handsets, with text messaging feature for voting, available for supportive fans. CTC Wireless employees will be on hand to assist voters. CT Communications, Inc. will continue to offer free text voting each week while Kellie Pickler is a contestant.

At the town square, a mini concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and will showcase Albemarle Idol, Joy Almond, and runner-up Brooke Garcia. Restaurant doors open downtown at 8 p.m. for American Idol viewing.

CT Communications, Inc. is headquartered in Concord and is a growing provider of integrated telecommunications and related services to residential and business customers located primarily in North Carolina.

Awww jeeeezzzz...we created a 'monster'! ;-) From Yahoo:

Former 'American Idol' contestant Kevin Covais, of Levittown, N.Y., signs autographs fo the crowd at the NBC 'Today' television show after he performed in New York's Rockefeller Center, Thursday, March 30, 2006. The 16-year-old, nicknamed 'Chicken Little' for his resemblance to the cartoon character, was voted off the program one week ago.

Ruben's recording career may be in the tank at the moment, but he is doing good charity work. From Yahoo:

'American Idol' winner Ruben Studdard signs autographs after appearing before the Alabama Legislature's Joint Prison Committee meeting Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at the State House in Montgomery, Ala. Studdard is launching a Birmingham-based after-school program called 'The Music Alternative Project,' aimed at keeping teenagers and young adults off the streets and away from gangs while learning the different aspects of music production, including songwriting, marketing, accounting and mixing.

Interesting info.

6. Katharine--The Lucky One--Alison Krauss

That is quite a lofty prospect. Last week Katherine's high notes left a lot to be desired. Allison Krauss has such an incredibly beautiful, effortless, light and pure voice. Tough to equal. And after last week I would think she would go with a crowd-pleaser type song, like the Dukes of Hazzard theme song or Froggy Went a Courtin'.

8. Ace--I Swear--John Michael Montgomery **Also sung by All 4 One

I'm only shocked that it isn't "Tonight I Wanna Cry" by Keith Urban, but this was probably next on my list of songs Ace will sing. I'm sure there will be lots of creepy svengolli-like stares into the camera ("Vote for me....oh yes....you WILL vote for me..."), holding of his fist in front of his heart and pointing to the sky when he says "to the moon and the stars up above."

What a horrible outfit for him. It almost looks like we are seeing him in black and white and everyone else in color.

Good day, RK. Sorry I forgot to ping you to my Kevin and Ruben posts. Yeah, Kevin is very pale, and white and light gray wash him out even more. But...chuckle...he did get to perform on the Today Show. Wonder if he pushed Perky Katie over the edge to jump to cBS?

Queen night would be a challenge, but one or two of the kids could pull it off.

Thanks for the Kevin and Ruben updates. I'm sure both of them will go far in whatever they do, because of their easygoing personalities and just plain pleasantness.

...holding of his fist in front of his heart and pointing to the sky when he says "to the moon and the stars up above.

Holding his fist in front of his shirt, grabbing it and exposing (exploiting) that scar.

You know that tomorrow it will have some glittery powder or something to really highlight it. I'm sure he's diligently working on his choreography as we type.

"Hand through hair, 2, 3, 4, pull down into a fist, thump chest, show scar, 5, 6..... Now which beanie says, 'country'?"
