-the BIL and SIL went on a donkey ride down the Grand Canyon.......the hiking was the fav of some of our other friends. I think I would love the shopping and the dining out, the shows........the sight seeing at the hotels.......YEP, I would go. I might even eventually check out the gambling thing.

We actually go for the room service. I gamble a little. Cyber doesn't gamble. That's why we like cruising.

The Grand Canyon is gorgeous from afar. I can't look down. I'd pass out.

Cyber loves the Hoover/Boulder Dam. Again, I can't look down, but I can look at the statuaries and all. He wants to go on a tour of the Hoover Dam next time we go to Vegas. Thank goodness we don't go there often. But that's the shortcut to my sis's in Truckee.

RMFE! We guess what pitch is going to be thrown to the batter at the plate. Cyber is usually right.

Take me out to the ball game
Take me out to the crowd
Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks
I don't care if I ever get back.

It's root, root, root for the home team
If they don't win, I don't care
It's one, two, three strikes you're out
At the old ball game!

I just looked at Riverside Casino in Laughlin. It looks like they have the internet connection I want. They also have a private bowling alley, which I'd like. Now, if they have room service, we should go soon.

Oh, please. Maybe we'll see the Red Hat Ladies again!

I misspelled Laughlin. I wonder why?

That's a better earworm than the hymn that was stuck in head earlier today. But it reminds me of the John Fogarty one Center Field and that is my current earworm. That's okay, I like that song. It reminds me of summer.

That's probably why I like baseball better than any other sport. It's outside.

You first line reminds me of one of our hymns. It starts out "The King of Glory comes.." but the meter is the same. A+ for you, ti!

There's an "old" (well late 60's) catholic Vatican Council guitar-Mass/we-are-trying-to-be-hip-but-can't-do-it-real-well-yet song that (endlessly) " kept repeating "Sons of God, Hear our holy word, ... with the same two chords over-and-over-and over again...

xsex would remember it verbatim - she's taht oooooooolllllllllllld ya know.

At age 12, with a ton of cousins and brothers and uncles, went hiking down the (shallower but longer) Bright Angel trail, spent the night at the bottom of the Canyon, then hiked back up the (steeper but shorter) Kaibob Trail.

WORTH THE TRIP!!!!!! WORTH EVERT STEP DOWN AND BACK UP!!!!!

I think what surprised me was how thin the "uncles" thought the air was at the top (8000-odd feet), compared to how much easier they were breathing 5000 feet lower at the bottom!
