Noper! Liked purple before I knew of him. I like everything except the momo factor about him though...including the socks you mentioned.

I find it hard to believe that his best recording would be from 1976. I know that Muddy's and Howlin Wolf's efforts from the 1970s with all star rock back up bands SUCKED compared to their earlier efforts.
