I figured with Bill Graham that those contracts would include such clauses (not a fault, just noting). Lawyers love to litigate though.

Often when James would do that in a show he was calling out a performer for missing a note or not coming in at the right spot. "We'll take about THAT after the show."

Do you remember "In Concert" that only lasted a couple of years?
A great show! I was heavily into glam British bands at the time, and I got to see T. Rex, Roxy Music, Slade, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band...I wish someone would reissue the show on DVD.

I followed your link and listened to the interview and found it extremely interesting. There must be a lot of stuff in archives that would interest many people.
Archives, archives, whose got the archives?
And the Bill Graham story was vewy, vewy intewesting.

"I remember pretty much every concert I ever went to," he says. "I remember who I went with. I remember where I parked. I remember what the bathrooms smelled like. You really remember the damnedest things." His memory is better than mine. I remember most of the shows, and probably most of the girls I went with. But not those kinds of details. Hell's bells, I'm just glad I can remember seeing the Airplane 37 years ago.
