Granted that was a great open field tackle by Hasselbeck and a disaster of a call, but the Steelers won. Seattle needs to stop projecting their shortcomings onto the refs.

Don't make excuses, make plays.

Hey, I don't have a problem with anyone questioning the officiating. I have a problem with people saying that the refs gave Seattle the game. It's total BS-these were not blatantly bad calls-they were calls that could have gone either way. Because more went the Steelers' way than Seattle's, that's supposed to prove that the officiating was bad? We're all sitting here looking at STILL PHOTOS of Roethlisberger's TD and no one can say for sure whether he was in or not. We see a receiver push off a defender RIGHT IN FRONT OF the ref, but that's supposed to be a "bad call". The ref not calling things Seattles's way equals "bad officiating"? I think not.

As far as "what most people are saying", who cares? I can probably show you 5000 articles that say Bush lied-doesn't make it true. The Steelers are not a well liked team outside of their own fan base, the media was salivating for a big upset it didn't get. Now they've got to try and create a big non-existent controversy, and you're getting sucked right into it with the rest of the sheep despite the facts.

The only facts that matter: 21-10. Tens of thousands in the streets of Pittsburgh celebrating our hard-fought, hard-won and 100% well-deserved Super Bowl championship. Our Hall of Fame running back and 100% awesome guy holding up the Lombardi Trophy for the fans who love him. If whining about the officiating is your idea of a good time, enjoy, but you and the rest of the whiners can't take it away from us. Ever.

Look, I'm not a steeler-hater, nor have I ever been. I have very, very good friends in Pittsburgh who are huge Steeler fans and though I didn't really care who won, if forced to pick a team, I was probably pulling for the Steelers simply because of my friends. You've got a chip on your shoulder about that for some reason.

The reason I brought up other people saying the officiating was bad is because Steeler fans seem to think it is only Seahawk fans or Steeler-haters saying it. I'm neither of those things, and I'm not the only one saying it. Not by a long shot.

Obviously, neither of us is going to convince the other to change their point of view, so go out and enjoy your win and all the fun that comes with that. Don't waste your time on people you imagine are trying to take it from you. I'm not one of those people either.

I've got no chip on my shoulder, and thanks, no whining crybabies could ever keep me from enjoying our win.

The backing off is already happening-the NFL is standing behind the calls in the game, I'm reading more and more from people who believe this whole "controversy" is overblown and manufactured. People are stepping back, looking at the tapes and photos and realizing that with the possible exception of the penalty on Hasselbeck, which didn't affect the outcome one iota, there were no blatantly bad calls in this game-only calls that could've gone either way and didn't happen to go the Seahawks' way. Those are the breaks, Pittsburgh has certainly had its share of them, it's part of the game.

Ahhh geeez...

Okay, I give. Uncle. You win. You're the big winner! I'll believe what "your" people are saying and if you say they are backing off, then so it is. I'm convinced. You win, I lose. You're right, as usual(how's that?) and I'm wrong.

Can we be done now? If you need the last word go ahead and respond and I'll just let it stand.
