AS USUAL, THE KING WAS AWESOME! I loved the condiments piling on each other...it made me hungry and turned-on at the same time.

If I had a wife that looked like the woman in the bud-gutter ad, I would definitely stay off the roof. She was really pretty! :)

Oh, yeah - I was hoping they'd revive "Terry Tate - Office Linebacker" this year. Terry was a staple at Titans games this past year, (along with the "Real Men of Genius" guys). The only entertaining thing about going to all those horrible games this season!

Someone please tell Aretha Franklin, that in the last stanza of the Ntl. Anthem, the word "brave" only has one syllable, not seven!!
I do have a problem with vocalists who sing their version of our National Anthem.

I thought both the Clydesdale commercials were very good.
I also like the Vault commercial where the guy invented the robotic scarecrow that killed crows, foxes, and hippies, LOL!

Through this year, Anheuser-Busch is the only beer company that can advertise on the Super Bowl. Wasn't aware of that. I may be mixing in memories of regular season games. They seem to have the most entertaining commercials, so we win in that regard.

You forgot bunny rabbits; as in crows, foxes, bunnies, and hippies.
Are they really lame enough to remake the Posidon Adventure - I thought that was a spoof commercial but it looked real.....sad - just sad.

Me too.
I swear, if an alien from another planet had tuned in to the pregame show, he would have gotten the impression that our entire country was black.
BTW, who was the blond skank that was singing with Stevie toward the end of the set?

There really weren't any blockbusters this year, but I did laugh quite a bit at the cell phone with the "crime deterrent" feature.... probably because I'm a Three Stooges fan, too.

****Overall, they were about as exciting as having the aged Stones on stage.
I had the impression that Jagger would never make it on "American Idol", and the band members that knew about three cords on their guitars wasn't much better. However, they did make a lot of noise to cover up for the lack of their ability to entertain.****
Yep, the Stones pretty much sucked.
But as to the '3 chords'; don't be shocked but most of their songs ARE pretty basic.
- Satisfaction - A D E B7
- Brown Suger (open G tuning) - C F Bb F G (so that 'really' shouldn't count as the open strings ARE a G) and Eb then some major Chord variations like Csus G2 & Gsus. But with open G tuning anywhere you barre a fret you're playing a chord.
- 19th Nervous Breakdown - E A B
- As Tears Go Buy - G A C D
- Start Me Up - C F Eb
But what shocked me was that Keith was NOT playing his Fender Strat??? When I saw that Hollow Body Arch Top (maybe a Gibson 356?) I thought 'WTF?!? That's like Eric Clapton playing a Les Paul, or BB King NOT playing his 'Lucille' - SACRILEDGE :-)
An aside; the 'king' of 3 chord R&R (IMO) had to be CCR. No one can make a D A G sound as good as they did (Bad Moon Rising).

I agree, but I wonder how long before the sharptons and jacksons see racism in the slogan - promoted by black people in the commercials...

probably. when he came out of the cave and that tiny dinosaur was walking nearby, I was "go ahead - kick the cat!" and when he did I laughed. when the BIG dinosaur stepped on him, I almost lost me coke up me nose.
far and away the funniest commercial of the night. and there were lots of good commercials, I thought, even if it didn't measure up to last years.

I think the streaking lamb was a close second. My wife voted that one as her #1.
We both went "Awwwwww" at the Clydesdale colt ad. Very good.
The Burger King "Ziegfield Follies schtick" was one of the lamest.

I've seen some really really bad versions of the National Anthem. Franklin and Neville were so bad, they were only eclipsed by Steve Tyler of Aerosmith at the Indy 500 for worst ever. It was a good thing they had the choir to carry them though.
